I would like to begin with the fact that this 5 star rating is due to the fact that this was exactly what we wanted and needed for our 25th anniversary.
We had a room with a beach view right near the garden pool where only 3 rooms actually face. It was peaceful and perfect. The room was spacious and super comfortable but I could see us taking any room and being fine as there are only 10 rooms in the building. The maximum amount of people at the pool was 3 couples.
The proximity to Miami Beach was incredible and it was almost like having your semi - private white sand beach to yourself. If you wanted, they would bring chairs, but we never used this service as we were way to random. There are also shuttles that go three times a week to various beaches which we took advantage of one day. The driver was amazing.
The staff is outstanding. Every recommendation, every conversation made the trip memorable and the two of us enjoyed the friendly banter as well as knowledgeable recommendations. It didn't matter who was at the front, it was the same all of the time.
The resaurant was delicious; it is a little on the expensive side, but the staff was great about recommending other options. It is a 5-10 minute walk into town where there are fruit stands, a grocery story and plenty of places to eat especially if you like fish.
It was our first trip to Barbados and will most definitely not be our last. This was a random selection for us and we were not at all disappointed.

A beautiful and secure property with a small number of rooms. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. the proximity to the airport, for those with cars, is good.

Truly a boutique hotel. Very Mediterranean “vibe” architecturally. Very friendly staff. Great service. Conveniently located on a peaceful corner of Barbados. Lots of good dining options nearby. A short drive from the airport. Great view of the sunsets.

Firstly the lasting memory of this hotel would be the exceptional staff. Throughout the hotel they were amazingly friendly and helpful. The experience was almost being part of a family !!!
The is a small hotel with just 10 rooms and a very good restaurant ( La Luna ) and with small comes a serine peaceful environment. The hotel decor I guess is local Bajan but I would equate it as Andalcian meaning terracotta aspects and pottery adornments that my wife appreciated as she liked the character whereas I prefer a more modern , less fussy and a bright aspect. I guess it is just a question of taste. With regards to location it is right on the ocean with beautiful views. However there is no direct access to the beautiful beach. You have to walk approx 200 yards to the beach and the hotel staff are very willing to carry sun beds and shades to the beach if you prefer the sand to the pool. The hotel is very close to Oistins fish frie with only a 5 minute walk. However there is nothing else of interest (bars / restaurants ) within walking distance so a taxi is needed to go almost everywhere.
So in conclusion if you like small hotels in a serene environment and outstanding staff this could be a place for you to consider. Pity about its position for me.
Finally as a regular visitor to Barbados I was surprised by how generally expensive it has become. Expect normal UK prices for food and drinks plus 20%. This is widespread not specific to this hotel.

Good:
Very good hotel overall. Perfect for couple looking for privacy. very well located at 1 min from Miami beach and 5 mins walks from Oistins (best place to eat local fish). The hotel has bicycles (did not use). The manager Sandra and her employee Michelle were very welcoming and nice toward our entire stay. They had very good recommendation and were very attentive to all the details and our happiness. They seemed to be naturally nice people which we really appreciated.
Our room (number 10, the best of the hotel) was big, good, with Jacuzzi as excepted. We were received with cocktails, a 200 ml bottle of local rum and a rum cake (very nice !). Every evening the hotel deposited 2 chocolates on our bed (lovely!). Also, the hotel did adapt very well and quickly to our habits. Indeed, they modify their cleaning hours on the morning and evening for us.
Bad :
The staff did advice us well but was too pushy on activities. In fact, despite the "non" they were still insisting that we took some trips with their partners. I have to highlight that the staff keeps a non negligible commission from the partner (taxi, cruise, scuba, restaurant).
Also, the room was not cleaned perfectly after each day.
And one of the staff did not seem to enjoy working at the hotel and it was reflected negatively on us.
Very good hotel ! will recommend !

Little Arches is a small 10 room boutique hotel that takes personal service to a new level. We arrived via taxi and someone appeared in the driveway to help us with our bags. On arriving at the check in desk we were greeted by name and two tropical drinks magically appeared. Our week at Little Arches only got better and better. The hotel is charming with an excellent restaurant on the roof overlooking the ocean. The hotel staff is really what made a wonderful vacation even more memorable. Little Arches is highly recommended.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Little Arches during our honeymoon recently and both agree the hotel and restaurant offered us the very best experience possible. All of the staff were so warm and inviting from the moment we arrived. The views of Miami beach and the cliffs were unbelievable - easy to see why the hotel offers wedding services. The sound of the waves was immensly relaxing while lounging on the (roof-covered) couches by the pool.
The area around the hotel was quite quiet - meaning the dead-end street got little car or foot traffic despite Miami Beach having warm and beautiful turquoise-colored water, and smooth sand. We had the great fortune of staying in room 8, which was the perfect room for us - very private and spacious (inside as well as out on the deck) with your own private hot tub and lounge-style loveseat, which were covered to offer pleasing shade during the warm days we were there. The style and small touches made the room pleasant to spend so much time in.
Cafe Luna offered some wickedly delicious entrees including the Seafood Linguine, which included the freshest and best tasting fish I've ever enjoyed.
We rented a car for part of the time we stayed and despite Bridgetown being so busy and a large number of roundabouts, it was pretty enjoyable. Being from the US, it was an interesting experience to (legally) drive on the left side of the road, but it really wasn't difficult at all. We loved visiting Mullin's Beach, the Bathsheba tide pools, the Animal Flower Cave and just exploring the island. The sea turtle excursion by Silver Moon was to die for!
It was tough to find pictures of the hotel online to get a good sense of what the place was like, but I think this contributed to an almost overwhelming pleasant surprise when we finally arrived. After 5 nights, we wished we could've taken up permanent residence.
I won't say you won't notice some things others have talked about - planes flying in and a boat that parks in the bay for a bit - but these did not detract from our stay in any noticable way. Not that it woke us, but I would note the restaurant on the 2nd floor opens at 7am, which inevitably meant hearing chairs dragged and scooted across the floor as people were seated if already awake.

I just got back from my honeymoon at Little Arches in Barbados and it was amazing! First time to Barbados - hotel was gorgeous - it really looks like the pictures on it's website. We stayed in a garden suite room with a jacuzzi on our deck and it was perfect. I'm glad we chose this room instead of the poolside or ocean view as those were at the front of the hotel next to the street, it seemed like a pretty safe area but we liked our room toward the back of the property. The beach was great - right across small street from hotel - one of the best we've been to - powdery white sand and warm turquoise carribean water which we could not stay out of! Hotel also gives you use of nice big plush beach towels and brings beach chairs over for you and picks them up. Hotel also has bicycles for use by guests. Breathtaking sunsets. Cafe Luna has great food and service, although dinners are a bit pricey. Except for beach only local fish market n casual local fare within walking distance. St. Lawrence Gap is a short cab ride and has many restaurants, bars, live music and some shopping -@ 10
minutes and @ $24 BBDS ($12 US) - Andy at Parris taxi is great. Hotel staff are
very accomodating and will assist with any request. Perfect for honeymoon or anniversary or quiet romantic getaway. We will definitely be back!

It was the perfect getaway...relaxing, quiet and close enough to get a taxi to St. Lawrence Gap for dinner or walk down to Oistens for fish fry. The room was lovely, the beach perfect and the staff Cherise, Sandra, Henley, the cleaning staff, etc... were all terrific.
