Hôtel Motel Le Gite

We appreciated the comfortable beds, soundproof rooms, and convenience of free parking close to Quebec City. We were disappointed the pool wasn’t open in the morning since the weather didn’t allow us to use it the evening we arrived.

Thsi property was right on the road and we felt area was not safe. Especially did not feel parking was safe.

Convenient location between airport and old Quebec. Room service was good. Room was clean when we rented the place. Towels and garbage bags were replaced everyday. Friendly staff at reception and check in and check out done within minutes. Pool was not at location as described in the ad but could be wrong as I did not enquire about it at reception.

They didn't let me check in because I didn't have a credit card, and I had to look for accommodation on the outskirts of the city. It was a very unpleasant moment for me and my family since I am traveling with children and my elderly mother.

I travel a lot and it’s the first time I had a bad experience like this . It was horrible since this place was sold the new owner doesn’t care about the place. The room wasn’t clean at all …. nothing was done prior to us taking the room. Spider Webs was all over on top of the curtains and they where full of dust …(imagine the time it was there if there is dust on the spider webs) The floors wasn’t clean we did find toe nails and food all over the floor….. it wasn’t wash or broom. Only 2 hangers … cheap pillows and covers .. 1 chair was broke …the one place sofa bed wasn’t comfortable and had a metal bar. Ice machine was broke and non functional ….a coffee machine without the glass container that was supposed to be included…..the never came to do the room (daily cleaning) or give us new towels ….the admit knowing this place is horrible but can’t change anything. We where 3 women and we are not Karen …. It was very dirty and the chemical smell was horrible. 2 of us felt sick (nauseas and headaches) just breathing whatever the smell was ….I should have read the comments on trip advisor before it’s full of negatives comments … Please think twice before renting a room there.

I like the family suite because of the queensize sofabed! Plus the very easy parking. Parking near steps away from your door. (We stayed at the first level

Basic economical clean and comfortable; friendly English-speaking staff, great for non-French-speaking travelers.

Location is reasonable if you come by car, considering is free parking. Cleanliness is Ok unless you look under furniture (I dropped something under night stand, and got the "surprise"). Tv only in French, and not allow to play with settings, or change the source / input. Breakfast is free, but don't count on it. A small room over crowded, serving almost nothing; bread, jam, 2 type of cereals, and the milk in a 2 L carton was gone. I'm judging a bit harsh based on 3 stars hotel, what I am used to. However considering those hotels in the area are $100 more expensive, and if you are looking just for a place to sleep 1-2 nights, that might worth the money.

We had an amazing experience at Le Gitr hotel last week. The room was so spacious, with two queen size beds and one double. The backyard door opens in the parking lot where our truck was parked. It was so convenient for us to grab the stuff back and forth. The Mgmt. Staff was so friendly, so cooperative, we were feeling just like at our home. They did not charge any security deposit like others. We wish to go again there and would also recommend others.

There are 2 separate properties - a Hotel le Site & a Motel le Site - they are across a busy 4 lane road from each other. We were booked into the Hotel - which "rundown"does not begin to describe. Gouges in door, walls & furniture, young men smoking weed in the parking lot,etc. We considered moving the dresser across the door. In all fairness, everything turned out fine & the cab they called for us showed up right on time at 4am.
