Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa

I have this hotel all five stars the grounds staff and rooms were all beautiful. But parking is definitely an issue. When paying that much for a room I feel like parking should have designated spots for guests. We had no area to park and the front desk resolution was to park up the street. With bags etc. not really what I wanted to hear. But overall everything else was awesome!

Well, the property is very handsome, and the setting is beautiful, and quite convenient to Butchart Gardens, which are 2 km away, and to the airport, which is a 10-minute drive. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. Some issues, however. First of all, although the hotel was definitely less than half full, we were put on the 1st of 3 floors. These rooms have very little privacy, as anyone can walk up to the front or back of these rooms. Strangely, one needs a key to get from the rooms to the lobby, but not to get from the lobby (or street) to the rooms. I've never seen such backwards security. Secondly, when we arrived at 5 PM, there were no people at the front desk--just a sign saying "back in 10 mins." Not quite the service one would expect at a 4* property. Main restaurant wasn't open the 2 nights we stayed (Monday, Tuesday). Finally, at breakfast (8:30 AM) on our first day, our waiter spent all of his time re-arranging the furniture rather than tending to guests. Couldn't the furniture re-arranging wait until after 10 AM, when breakfast was over? Mind you, I enjoyed our stay despite these issues, but there is room for improvement.

We love this property. It’s situated overlooking a marina and small ferry terminal. The views from each large room is beautiful. The rooms have a corner fireplace, balcony with table and chairs, large tv and bar fridge. The spa bath is lovely with shutters opening to room and view of the bay. Great dining options and an upscale pub with outdoor patios make it a perfect getaway.

Staff was great, room was lovely, the view was incredible. Definitely rent a car though because it’s quite far from downtown if you’re visiting. Very close to the Butchart & Victoria Butterfly Gardens.

Exceptionally beautiful setting, delicious dinner, wonderful rrooms and only 15 minutes from the airport

We stayed at this lovely hotel in mid-September 2023 for 2 nights. We had an upgraded room with a great view of the Bay and Saanich Inlet from the room. It was nice to sit on the patio and watch the sunset. Room was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Good-sized washroom with separate shower and good hot water pressure. Front desk and staff were accommodating and helpful. Easy access to ferry terminal and airport. We ate at the pub which was decent (Main restaurant was unfortunately closed for the nights of our stay). We would definitely stay here again.

It is undergoing dining area renovation; check-in was delayed 1 1/2 hrs as rooms weren’t ready; flower in room was in dirty water, balcony was not swept clean; only dinner service was bar food in bar area; parking was across street. Plus was a beautiful view across the harbor.

The BBR is my wife and I's favorite place to stay in the greater Victoria area. The view, the beautiful architecture, the peaceful quiet setting, the room setup, the small number or rooms, the easy access parking, the kayak/ paddleboard rental access make it a perfect place to stay for us, and it never disappoints.

Lovely spot. Stumbled into it with a cancelled flight. Look forward to visiting there again.

We needed to stay close to the airport before flying out and wanted to enjoy a nice hotel stay for the night! It was amazing! We were offered a drink upon arrival, and then a plate of truffles drizzled with caramel sauce was delivered shortly after checking in. The room was fabulous with a view of the marina. We enjoyed a visit to the hot tub as well. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a luxury stay in Victoria
