Curacao Marriott Beach Resort

We traveled for our honeymoon and let me say it was a terrible experience. We had higher expectations than what we experienced. When we arrived we were told a restaurant was under construction there for they would be providing a shuttle to the neighboring restaurant less than half a mile away. When we were waiting for our room to be ready we went to the bar to order a drink and was told one of the drinks on the menu was unavailable. Then we decided to stay in the room for the afternoon and order dessert, we were then told they were out of dessert (it was 5pm). The next day on the beach there was one to two servers serving and taking orders, however we were only able to use it once my husband had to be getting us our drinks. The first morning I ordered from the menu not the buffet and the French toast was cold. At night we wanted to check out the restaurants they had next door through the shuttle service, we were told it was broken and had to pay 50 dollars for a 0.5 mile ride plus wait 40 minutes to get back to the hotel. We then got massages which were wonderful, but heard the construction the entire time. Our last night we wanted room service asked two employees if we could order onsite and they said yes. We ordered, and then got a call back they could not, then later were told one of the items we ordered was not supposed to be on the menu. Save your money and time and book at another property. Very disappointed especially since it is not supposed to be a 2 star hotel.

Beautiful relaxing property. Not much entertainment but for hubby and I, this was exactly the kinda of trip we wanted this time around. Food and service was wonderful. The best part was the staff - all treated us like family from Stephen and Kristine, Amy (sushi bar) at the bar in the hotel lobby, Precious at the front desk, Jonil at C-spice, Savon, Giovanni and Joshua at Iguana Grill. So many others that I'm forgetting. Special shout out to Stephanie that helped organized our airport transportation - Thank you. We will be back!!

Been to Curaçao numerous times and this was my favorite hotel stay. So clean, very updated, rooms were great, food was good but the service was amazing! Will definitely be coming back & staying at the Marriott again. One thing I will do next time is rent a car as taxis can get expensive. Otherwise such a great time.

Pros: friendly, helpful staff; onsite dining options Neutral: room was spacious, updated and quiet; unfortunately, it’s not the case for all rooms; not the nicest pools or beach, but they weren’t crowded, so they were relaxing…experience might be different when the hotel is at at full occupancy Cons: understaffed, there was a wait for everything; not much onsite entertainment; hotel location is away from the island’s main sights, restaurants and bars, so strongly recommend renting a car or budgeting for expensive taxi fares

Stay was comfortable. Hospitality staff was very friendly and lovely. The only complaint was during check-in. The taxi driver was a no-show and the check-in took 1.5 hours. The staff was however quick to apologize and agreed to cover for our drinks while we waited. Overall, a lovely stay and everyone of the staff is amazing from restaurants, store, 'marketplace', poolside to housekeeping. Beach was beautiful as were the two pools.

The hotel was beautifully decorated. The views were spectacular. There was the convenience of a rental car accessible right in the lobby with easy parking. The staff was attentive and kind. I would absolutely stay here again.

Spent 1 week there with my husband and our 2 kids (2 and 4 years old) and have had our best family vacation ever!! We have traveled to many other carribean islands before but this one was totally at a different level!! All the staff were so nice, extremely polite and helpful!! Special mention to Nicole (pool service) and Olya (gym trainer). We cannot recommend this place enough!!! Loved every single minute of it!

Location- close to Willemstad center n to airport. Piscadera bay was adequately attractive

Nice physical plant and comfortable well-designed room. Service was slow and inattentive throughout the hotel (front desk (failed to call a requested taxi to airport), bellman (did not secure checked luggage), waiters and waitresses (consistently very slow, eg 5 minute wait for a spoon at dinner).
