GLO Hotel Helsinki Airport

A great place to stay on a night stopover at Helsinki airport. Only a short walk from arrivals.

I can’t say anything good about this place - only reason to choose it is because it’s in the terminal - but that doesn’t compensate for anything:-(

Perfect location at the airport is great. Room was tiny but clean.

The hotel is in the airport building. Thus, it is convenient for very late arrivals (as in my case) or early departures. It isn't even meant for any other activities than sleeping the night.

Natasha found the hotel noise coming from the airport quite noisy.

The hotel took a little work to find as there are two sister hotels right outside the arrivals hall and one of those shares the Comfort Inn name. This executive branch was literally right at the arrival hall customs exit. Great location once you find it as it was an easy walk the next morning to the departure hall. Just a few minutes. Very clean and convenient but very small rooms, though for one night it was great. The only negative was you could not adjust the cooling in the room as it was preset and could not be moved. It made the room a little warm for me as it was pegged to 21C. Others may say it was too cold, of course. But in any case it was non-adjustable. Other than that it was a great one night stay hotel when you have a flight the next morning. It was super convenient to all kinds of good and drink options on the arrival hall so that was great.

We found ourselves in Helsinki and needing a hotel room after all flights were canceled on July 19. It was the only way we could get home without adding four extra days to our stay. This hotel is ideally located, just steps outside of the door exiting baggage claim. The rooms are simple, but nicely equipped, and everything was very clean. It is a great idea! And is very well executed!

Room did not have a window but it was a decent room for the few hours I was there to sleep for my overnight layover. Staff were super friendly and check in/check out were very easy. Bed was extremely comfy.

Super convenient when all I needed was a place to sleep after dropping my car off in the evening and flying out early the next morning.
