The hotel is praised for its personal touch and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel more like a guesthouse than a typical hotel. The front desk gave me a good recommendation for dinner nearby of traditional German food for a good price. They gave me a ride to the airport the next morning. Would definitely stay there again.

Very tiny hotel with old rooms and not really comfy. Bed are more than basic, TV is the smallest ever. Shower not really practical. Owner is nice and friendly but not an hotel I would recommend to stay. Close by the airport.

Fritizi's is understandably stumbled upon by most people unable to get into one of the hotels by the airport they find themselves at Fritzi's. I am sure that one stay will be enough to convince anyone to come back time and time again. Forget soulless expensive chain hotels. This is a fantastic experience, owned and run by Leyla (who runs front of house) and Fritz (who cooks a mean steak) you feel more like a house guest than a tourist. There is a friendly bar - with charming locals (Edmund and Jurgen were engaging and charming) great food and plenty of beer and schnapps. Leyla is an amazing host - she remembers everyone who has stayed and can't do enough for guests. One morning another guest and I needed to get to the Messe for a conference and no taxis were available - we were preparing to find alternative transport when Leyla offered to give us a lift. Great fun, great people, personal care and attention. There may not be a 100 rooms, or every conscience you expect from some of the chains but a five minute cab from Stuttgart airport will take you to one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. Thank you Leyla, Fritz, Leyla (barmaid), and of course Edmund, Jurgen and everyone else.

The staff was friendly enough when you saw them. They don't man the reception all of the time and the week I was there I only saw the staff a few times. I actually had to call when I arrived as there was no one there, it was raining, and I couldn't get into the hotel. Someone did arrive right away to open the door and check me in. I also found the housekeeper to be a bit aggressive, she never knocked before she tries to enter the room. The hotel was clean and safe and there is a small village which is a minute walk which was nice for restaurants. My biggest problem with the hotel was the internet connection. The signal is week and the speed is slow. At one point during my stay it was down for 2 days. As I was traveling for work, I needed to log in from the room but I was unable to due to the connection speed. Twice I had to take a taxi into the city to go to a Starbucks to work. I would not recommend this hotel for a business traveler nor will I stay here again. Not having reliable internet is always a deal breaker for me.

This was a good hotel if you are not too particular about having an upscale room. It met the need. The hotel management was it's best asset. The hotel was close to the airport, train station, and the Autobahn.
