Overview

The Kfar Maccabiah Hotel and Suites offers spacious and comfortable rooms, with some guests praising the breakfast selection and excellent customer service. However, reviews also highlight significant drawbacks. Finding the hotel within a campus is described as nearly impossible, and parking can be inconvenient and costly. The hotel's advertised amenities, such as the pool and airport shuttle, are unreliable and may not operate as advertised. The customer service is inconsistent, with some reports of exceptional service and others noting a lack of communication, staff entering rooms without knocking, and incorrect breakfast billing.

Hotel is located in the middle of a campus of multiple buildings and nearly impossible to find. You have to park very far away in a parking lot that you have to pay for. The room was nothing like the pictures. Very old and dated. The lobby of the hotel is nice but that’s it. No convenient amenities either. Place is way over priced!

Hotel advertises pool and airport shuttle, however, pool has very limitted hours and was not open the days we were there. Also, there is no shuttle - the reception dials a cab driver for you who charges an arm and a leg for the shuttle service - so its better to use Uber. In addition, our room key was broken and security spent 2 hours trying to fix it - it did not work out, they ended up giving us regular key, but I had to fill out declaration form to get the key - everything was taking very long time to resolve

A bit of a problem with temperature adjustment, otherwise very good. Free parking is at the park adjacent to the hotel.

What a terrible stay.. We arrived at 01:00 a.m. entered a parking with our car and remained stacked there, between high fences, without possibility to get out, neither with the car, nor on foot. With no phone number to call. Jailed! After 30' of tired and nervous attempts, a laundry truck driving by on the free side of the fence luckily opened the gate. At 07:00 a.m. we were awaked by the cleaning staff who entered our room (of course without knocking). And when we wanted to access the breakfast room, we were falsely told in a military manner that our accommodations wouldn’t include breakfast. Same story at the front desk, same disregard for the guests. A young lady there, as communicative as a garage gate could only repeat – 4 or 5 times, that our pre-payment wouldn’t include breakfast. Finally I paid in cash ON the desk 70 euros in order to be allowed to take my collation (we had a flight to catch some time later). 10 minutes afterward, one of the young ladies came to our table in the dining room in order to inform us that I was right and that my "deposit" would be restituted to me at the front desk. But she did that without apologizing, which granted her with an "explanation" from my part. Coffee machine was left unattended without water and full of used coffee grounds: it took 10 minutes to bring it back to life, also without an apology. And it was useless to call one of the waitresses for pepper or salt, as they would simply not "hear you", even when you called them...

Spacious and comfortable room. Great service at reception and lovely staff at the breakfast. Great selection at breakfast. Perfect with country club access for the kids, country club could use somewhat of a touch-up though. Restaurant at hotel was understaffed and a waitor, who did as well as he could had to run in-between tables. We where also served the wrong dish for one family member but, honestly, didnt want to cause more work for him so we just ignored it and ate what was served. Would recommend going otherwise to have dinner. All in all, a great hotel, close to the airport, perfect for first or last nights in TLV
