Overview

The Imperial Hotel Kuching is praised for its convenient location, being approximately 15 minutes from both Kuching Airport and the city centre. Guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, as well as the hotel's proximity to a shopping mall. The hotel also has a gym and offers a breakfast buffet, although some guests have noted that the quality of the breakfast can be inconsistent. While generally positive, some maintenance issues in the rooms have been reported by a few guests. Very nice hotel in the quaint part of Kuching. situated at the mid point between Kuching airport and the city, about 15 mins each side. Very nice, clean and spacious room. The gym is a plus point if that’s what you look out for on a vacation. Breakfast is meh though.

The mall attached isn’t the best one in the area but if you want to do sown shopping or kill time, it’s connected to the hotel. The prices are good! They have a train ride kids can do but no playground. The hotel was great. I wish it had a thicker blanket BUT that’s probably not something I would say when it’s hot. The breakfast was good with lots of food and drink options. Omg the menu food was delicious and we got in around midnight, but fortunately they’re open 24 hrs. It was exactly what we needed after a 7 hour delay in the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel. I travel with a 4 year old and we felt safe and comfortable. The gym was good too.

The staff are very helpful in safeguarding the items that was handed over by me to store in a chiller, as there is no room to put the item in the hotel room fridge. Despite going in and out of the hotel parking many times, the staff were patient enough to accommodate to our free parking every time we call to void our parking fee. Thank you

The Imperial Hotel in Kuching was great. It is close to the airport and is attached to a shopping mall. The buffet breakfast was fabulous. We found the place to be clean, comfortable and with many nice amenities. The price was a great deal for what we got.

The Imperial Hotel in Kuching is a comfortable place to stay. It is close to the airport (and, for us, close to our families home). The rooms are comfortable but some of the features are showing their age or lack of repair. The sink drain did not open at all and we had to just remove the stopper to use the sink. The toilet seat was loose and we asked it to be tightened. Did not happen. In addition, they have a silly one-towel-per-guest policy. I get it that some guests steal towels but when it is hot and humid most folks will shower twice per day. We gave up asking for more towels. 🙄 Finally, the room comes with buffet breakfast. In past stays we have greatly enjoyed this. On this stay the quality of the food was seriously lacking and most entrees were cool or cold on the buffet line. We ate there once and just threw away the vouchers for the other four days.

My stay for 1 night was great considering this 4 Star Hotel is only `8 mins from the Hotel. It has good staff attending to dinner and breakfast orders. The food I must say is not that competitive, selection is limited as well as there was not Bar or night clubs since this hotel is quite far from the Kuching CBD in the north , almost 35-45 mins depending on the traffic and taxis to get there and back. I had good Gym and pool facilities from 6am to 7pm for longer stays but only. There was dry Sauna from 6am onwards to 7pm.

Overall the stay was okay and room was clean except no airport transfer and housekeeping during covid-19.
