Hotel Globales Camino Real Managua

For Nicaragua, it’s a nice hotel. It’s relatively modern, very clean and all but the auxiliary bellybutton shower head was in good working order. The restaurant is overpriced, slow and the food is not very good….but good food that is up to international standards is hard to find in Nicaragua. I had a 6:30 am flight and the taxi fare was $10.00 for two people.

Arrived late to friendly staff, able to have a quick swim after long travel. Felt safe. Clean. Wonderful brunch and staff.

convenient location close to the airport. Breakfast was not included with my booking, not really sure why? $30 for 2 breakfasts is a little steep IMO. Air shuttle service should be free, as it so close to the airport….$5 per person seems like a money grab. Clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty

Friendly staff, English and Spanish, clean hotel with a good restaurant right beside the casino and close to the airport

The staff are lovely but they don’t volunteer information; you have to ask a lot of questions from some of them to get information on things like WiFi, food options, when the pool closes. They really need to get rid of the Macaw Parrots! Come on! It’s 2023…exploitation of animals is terrible for business, not an attraction. Ironically, after saying this…Best part about staying here is the family of kittens and cats that come to say hi! They aren’t exploited, in fact you can see some of the staff’s frustration with them around but I loved it. The staff in the bar/restaurant were awesome. I was given a room right off of the noisiest area of the hotel when I was only getting a few hours of sleep before having to be at the airport early when there was a major celebration going on in Managua so most of th the hotel guest were very loud and stayed up late. These are things they don’t think about when assigning rooms. If you’re given room 301, I would consider staying elsewhere; you can hear everything everyone says while having dinner or late night drinks.

Service was mediocre - we booked this hotel to use the free shuttle to the airport but that doesn't start until 7am so we had to pay for a private taxi instead since we had to leave at 5:30am. That taxi was 15 minutes late despite being pre-booked by front desk and was way too small for our group / luggage. When I booked the hotel, I picked the breakfast option but the breakfast doesn't start until 6am so was after we had to leave. I asked the front desk if they could refund the additional money for breakfast and they flat out refused. It's fine for Managua but next time I'll look around to other hotels. The service for this one wasn't great.
