Was an overnight stay with a family of 4 so hard to tell about the overall experience with such a short stay. One thing was that we needed to use the hotel parking lot. When we checked in we were told they were book. I was never told to book ahead of time and parking in another lot was a slight challenge as we were leaving for the airport at 4am.

We loved staying here. There is a lot of old artwork and painting that has been restored - especially the grand staircase. It's beautiful inside and in a central location. We had a last minute layover in Kristiansand and they were more than accomodating with our last minute needs. The front desk was especially friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here on a return trip to Kristiansand.

Lighting is very dark in bathroom and room overall. On site parking was sold out so had to go a few blocks down and pay more than stated. Room needed to be cleaned (dirty glass, hair on tub, tissue behind nightstand), needs vacuuming) The mattress pad continued to slip off every time you moved. The hotel was fine and staff were very nice but overall prob wouldn’t stay there again.
