Esplendor by Wyndham Asunción

This property is very convenient and very comfortable i stay there 6 hours because needed a place to rest before my flight back home... the restaurant staff wonderful, food delish!! I left my iPhone charger in the room and told my friend after she dropped me at the airport she went back to retrieve my charger and they told her that they didn't find anything in the room ... thats not ok! Little things like this gets bad reviews for such a nice place like this hotel. Honesty goes a long way.

Great place for shopping and close to the airport.

Very clean. Towels changed daily. Quiet nights with earplugs and AC on. It can be noisy at times, depending on how guests behave as all floors are connected due to the open architecture. Very friendly and guest oriented staff. Excellent variety at the breakfast buffet. But it's quite loud there due to different rude guests using their mobile phone speakers in a very loud volume to listen to audio messages, videos, etc. - often at the same time. Decent gym, when guests don't take the dumbbells to their rooms. Excellent location. Walking distance from Paseo la Galería and Shopping Centre del Sol. Short ride to the airport. The sauna was very clean but no proper resting place available, just a small block to sit on. Also a small piece of the milky window foil came off in the sauna shower which means that it can be used as a "peephole" from anyone that's on the balcony. Systemic security issues: 1) Anyone from outside can access all floors with the elevator. 2) No spyhole in door nor bar/chain. So there is no way to check who is outside the door. 3) Staff entered the room in spite of it being locked as they can not tell if it's locked until they opened it. This was unpleasant for everyone involved. The only thing keeping staff out is the "do not disturb" cardboard notice outside the door. I might consider staying again in spite of these issues. But I'd try other places first. Hope these issues get addressed and guests/people learn to be mindful of others again.

We had an early 5am flight and they delivered our breakfast to our room the night before.

Great breakfast, nice lobby and the city view was wonderful (my room was located at 13th floor). Sadly during my visit the hotel received 10 football young women delegations. It was a mess. This young people thought that it was a graduation travel. The walls between each room are very thin, so 3:00 am I was listening reagetton aloud, all day long people yelling. In many times people by mistake knocked my door aggressively. My experience in this hotel was terrible. Next time I will take other options.
