Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club

This is an amazing hotel. I would give it 12 out of 10 stars. If I could, the staff was beyond amazing they knew about my allergy before I even opened my mouth to say anything. Our servers were excellent. The food was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The surrounding area is lovely and won’t get airport noise, even though you are a two minute drive from the airport. There is a heated pool and a lovely bar by the pool. The only thing that we have to say that was negative is we wish we could’ve stayed way longer.😃

Very friendly, well run family owned hotel. Spacious rooms and wonderful pools. Don’t be put off by the fact it is under the airport. The noise does not seem to reach the hotel. Short walk into the nearest town which is mainly along the promenade after a short walk next to a motorway. We did this on average once a day.

Great property and literally a walk to the airport

Wonderful staff who can't do enough for their guests. The seawater pool is the main attraction (though the actual sea is about 1°C warmer for some reason). The food is excellent especially the scallops linguine. Very quiet despite being next door to the airport. Would stay again.

It was a one day solo trip because the hotel was near the airport and offered a free shuttle when I got there. I was totally surprised by the service from the front desk. The wait staff and everybody there with a pleasant surprise Fabrício and Bernardo are especially helpful to me along with, Anna and Sarah what a wonderful stay there made

close to the airport.

Beautiful property. Great one night stay before flying out from Madeira. They have a shuttle to the airport. Easy walk into town.Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Would highly recommend!

The location was spectacular and perfect for our last days on the island, as it was extremely easy to get to the airport. The receptionists were polite, friendly and helpful. The pool by the sea was instagram gold. We'll not forget it. I'll gladly return if I get the chance

We just stayed one night on our way home from a week in Madeira because the Albatroz was so close to the airport - we really liked it and would have been happy to stay longer. The staff were incredibly welcoming in these difficult times and had taken every precaution to protect against the covid virus. We were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and a bowl of fruit which was lovely. We enjoyed swimming in all of the pools - especially the salt water pool and in the sea. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near Santa Cruz. We did not find the the airport disturbing (though flights were much reduced) and it was very useful to be able to enjoy so much comfort so close to the airport and just before a really early flight.

Just amazing. Close to the airport yet all you can hear is sea breeze and waves. Pickup from the terminal took about 5 minutes. Staff are incredibly professional and friendly. English is excellent. The rooms are large, bed is king size and super comfortable, everything is high quality. It’s a 10 minute walk to Santa Cruz for great restaurants or a 30 minute walk to Machico for shopping. Breakfast and dinner at Hibiscus (the hotel’s restaurant will not disappoint.) Wifi was good everywhere. I would recommend the superior rooms but regardless of your room you’ll be looked after very well. They are fastidious about covid safety and I congratulate them on creating a super safe environment. After 3 days at Albatroz we are now in Funchal and wish we were back at Albatroz.
