Holiday Inn Belgrade, an IHG Hotel

I was supposed to get a wake up call at 5 AM so I could get my bus to Sarajevo. No wake up call. I woke up on my own at 7:15 AM. I missed out on seeing Sarajevo, and had to eat the cost of my hotel in Sarajevo and the bus rides there. I had to spend an extra 2 days in Belgrade. I will never use Holiday Inn again. I never again will travel without my own personal alarm clock. I will no longer rely on the hotel to give me a wake-up call. I do not throw away food. Ever. I go to get a cup of coffee at breakfast, and when I returned to my table, my food plate had already been taken away and thrown out.

We stayed here for a afternoon/night while waiting for a flight.The staff on reception were excellent and helped us in every way possible also the waiter/waitress in the bar/restaurant in the evening we’re very welcoming.The hotel is in the business area but a taxi to the old town is only £5 where there are various tourist attractions, hotel bar and restaurant we’re very good for food and drinks.

The location was very convenient for me as I stopped only for a night speed on my transfer from Sofia to Budapest. The reception was very friendly. Negatives: No amenities into the bathroom at all !!! No shampoo or shower gel, no dental kit, nothing! Only hand soap! In order to use the enclosed garage you have to pay extra, there is an elevator from the garage to your car, which means that you can go there any time, BUT on your way out you need to inform 15min earlier so that they can “charge” the parking card which you need to use on your way out, in EXACTLY 15 min! No less, no more! If for instance you are walking your dog out in the meantime and you loose your 15 minutes, your card is not working any more and they have to open for you manually 😂! In my opinion 90€/night without breakfast and of course extra pay for parking and pet is a lot of money, for a hotel that doesn’t provide bath and dental kit! 😂😂
