We chose this hotel as it is convenient for visiting relatives and has plenty of parking. The rooms could use a tooth mug, though.

Ok it's quite a big hotel. If you get a room in the 3's make sure you leave a GPS transmitter you may never find your room. The main bar/restaurant has a laid back casual atmosphere that makes you want to hang about there/ It has great facilities - Mini Cinema, Dartboard, Lots of sockets with USB points, The food is not too fussy and not too basic lots of option. A good choice of beers/cider/wine etc too. Closing at 11pm is a little early for a big hotel. Midnight would be better. The hotel has a Starbucks, conference area with yet another bar and is literally like a village outside huge with lots of parking space. The Jewel of the crown is a huge leisure centre build underground. Fantastic Pool. Sauna, Steam room, Hot Tub, All really clean and well kept. Shame I couldn't visit more than once spent far too much time looking for my room. It really is the most complicated room system I have ever seen in my life. The room itself pretty much on the same par as the room of requirement in Harry Potter. It appeared at different places at different times I am sure. Did I mention that the maze that I had to endure to get to and from reception was so authentic I was almost killed by a Minotaur at one point. It's ok though Percy Jackson was coming though and made short work of him. The room itself wasn't top level or anything but it wasn't basic either. It was comfortable with it's own personality about it. Good Showering Facilities with good pressure. Huge TV and Dyson fan.

Room a little small tiny window and inadequate lighting making it appear dingy.Unfortunately was over front entrance on first floor and consequently somewhat noisy with people drinking on outside terrace and drunken arguments over taxis. However bar area fine and close to Headingley’s amenities

Stayed for the leeds festival (mum and daughter) on arrival a huge traveller wedding, very intimidating for my 15 year old daughter, when having an evening meal the security had to escort her to the toilet. On the first night, burger was cold and had to go back, swimming pool was hogged by muscle men that stayed in the jacussi for over an hour so no woman could get in. A fight broke out outside our hotel room from the traveller wedding until continued til 2am. Very scary for my daughter

To check in there is a table of ipads and 2 receptionists who helpfully point at an ipad and do no more. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable but the room was so unbelievably hot that it was like a sauna with no way to open the window more than 1cm. Also, at no point in the car park did it mention where the terminal is or that parking is free at the weekend so i ended up downloading the app and paying £5 unnecessarily.

Check in did not have booking correct so wanted to charge for gym and parking again. Went to gym and again not on system so they didn't correct. Room had strong plug in air freshenerschine I switched off and had room open whole time but it made bme feel unwell and had itchy eyes. Poor Sleep. On plus side, just across road from hotel was El Greco restaurant which I can highly recommend.

Tired rooms e.g. peeling paint. You have to pay for parking despite a large out of town hotel- owned car park.
