We arrived after a long haul flight wanted somewhere close to Manchester Airport. This was perfect for us. Easy to fine. Quick check-in. Room clean and comfortable, quiet despite a wedding reception.
Breakfast was wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice of pastries, cereals and cooked food. Our eggs cooked to order. Coffee served by staff. Its overlooking a canal which is a beautiful relaxing setting to enjoy breakfast. We had a short walk around lovely. Left our luggage whilst we shopped in Chester. Would definitely recommend and will go again if we're in the area.

The hotel is situated in a pleasant waterfront setting. While the property appears to have undergone recent renovations, the guest rooms disappointingly still have dated carpeting.
The front desk staff was accommodating in allowing us to check-in early. However, the room sizes are quite cramped for two occupants, making it challenging to move about freely. The rooms may be sufficient for a solo traveler.
We dined at the on-site restaurant, but found the food to be unremarkable and overpriced for the quality.
The hotel offers a promotional rate for children under 12 to stay and eat for free. As a result, the property often has a noisy, hectic atmosphere more akin to a daycare than a hotel. We frequently heard children running in the rooms above and rambunctiously in the hallways. The breakfast area was equally chaotic, with young children roaming about and handling the food items. Better control of the situation is needed to provide a more peaceful, hygienic environment.
Arguably the most significant issue was the extremely poor WiFi connectivity. Coupled with deficient cellular reception in this location, accessing the internet proved to be a major challenge. This property would not be recommended for business travelers requiring reliable, high-speed internet for video conferencing or other data needs.
While the waterfront setting is appealing, the overall guest experience has substantial room for improvement in terms of accommodations, amenities, and WiFi.

Not brilliant. There was a wedding on when we arrived so there was no parking to start with. Cars were parked up and around the front of the hotel making it difficult to turn around to find a space. Had to park in the overflow car park in the end.
Dinner in the hotel was dreadful. we order two pizzas and a gammon. The pizzas were awful, frozen options defrosted and overcooked. The gammon was ok but overly salty. We asked for garlic bread and an extra drink and 20 mins after our dinner arrived I had to ask where these were. Then they brought out a different garlic bread to what we ordered. After complaining they did not charge for the pizzas, but the service was very poor during dinner. Breakfast however was a totally different set of staff so different experience.
The room as OK, but we had an adjoining room next to us who were extremely loud and woke us up talking at 5.30am. We were also right be the lifts so heard everyone coming and going. The doors are not heavy enough to block out the noise.
Overall OK, but would not recommend and would not stay again.

We so appreciated having air/con in the room after staying at 7 previous properties that did not offer air/con. Basic room but we had everything we needed. Lovely location on the canal. We stayed the same night as a wedding reception so the parking lot was really full but we were lucky and found one of the last spots. We will be back. : )

Very disappointing stay we were out in a king size accessible room fir disabled people we did not request this it was filthy as seen in pictures and not easy to use a low sink when your tall. The wet room soaked the toilet if you used the shower.
Chose this hotel for the pool however got told have to book and was told was full as lots of children using it.
There was a party or wedding function on and rooms were very noisy by 6am with children screaming and running up and down.
I paid good money for this stay travelled a long way from London but got greeted with disappointment please can a manager contact me with some kind of solution or money back please

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish.
From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine welcome from the front desk staff. Check-in was smooth and efficient.
The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated with modern furnishings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of travel.
I enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning at the hotel’s restaurant. The variety and quality of the food exceeded my expectations, and the service was impeccable.
The location of the Holiday Inn is perfect for both business and leisure travelers.
Every staff member I encountered, especially Steve, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made me feel valued and well taken care of.
