Extended Stay America Suites Palm Springs Airport

No sign on the outside of the building. Elevator broken & had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs. No daily room cleaning. No shampoo or conditioner in the shower. Black hairs all over my bathroom. Refrigerator that ran all night. Strange smells from strong cleaning products.

Checking in was like a scene from an Elmore Leonard novel; too odd to anticipate, but so crazy, it had to be real. The experience with the desk staff defies description in less less than five paragraphs, but needless to say, in all my years of traveling (including as a touring musician with band,) this was an unusual experience. The room was advertised as having a “queen bed,” but the full bed was all that we found in the room. Clean, bug-free, quiet, so all in all, the Twilight Zone check-in notwithstanding, not as bad as anticipated.

Can't complain about the cleanliness. It was excellent, but everything else was bad. Although In all fairness, it's a low budget hotel(it felt like a Motel thought). Even though check-out was at 11:00am, at around 9:00a.m. a lady was knocking room to room really rapidly and loud with some metal object saying repededly "Cleaning's here!!" repeatedly until she reached our room. About 10 minutes later she caim back even with more rudeness yelling "I'm going to call the PD!!". Really? Threatening your guests to call the Police Department. So I yelled back "Call whoever you want, I'm not coming out naked!!". They kiked us out for what they said was air-conditioning maintenance. But not only us, according to a flyer that was Scotch taped to ever single room, over a 3 day period every single room was going to get this so called "maintenance" between 8:30a.m and 10:30a.m. My question is: why didn't they schedule this maintenance when the guests are NOT sleeping!! I think the answer may be: that's how much they care about their guests. At least that's how I felt.

We're staying here for a few days. I like that its pet friendly and I like the areas to walk them. Quiet area and the hotel has been quite inside. The kitchens and laundry facilities are great to save money on food and get caught up from traveling.

This property is a rough, overwhelming and unsettling place to stay. There are people wandering the halls at all hours of the night, people wandering around the parking lot until sunrise, heavy drug use and constant police activity. The hotel does not have any security and only maintains one staff member from overnight. I have never been so uncomfortable, stressed and disapointed at a property. I literally could not handle being there and had to leave for my own peace of mind.

Room smelled trash in the stairways parking lot had cars being worked on for multiple days

I don't usually write reviews, but this place was gross i feel like i want to warn people. The rooms smelled so bad, food crunbs on the floor, almost positive the bedding wasn't changed (and if it was, they need to invest in some new sheets because they are nasty), and the shower had alot of hair in it when we arrived. The outside of the hotel appears to be a decent place when you pull in, but the moment you walk in to the lobby, you are hit with a funky smell that occasionally mixes with cigarette smoke (on the smoke free property) and a wet dog smell. Random people drinking and smoking weed in the back of the parking lot throughout the day and bums sleeping/wandering in the open field next to the hotel. The pool was clean. Overall, this place is just dark, dingy, dirty and not kept up at all. Was very disappointed in this place. I've stayed at plenty of very average priced hotels, I don't expect fancy but this place severely lacks any sort of cleaning standards. We couldn't wait to leave. Would never stay here again or recommend it. I will say, when the staff was actually at the front desk, they were very nice.

We liked it was close to the airport so we could walk but the contintental breakfast was not good. Real milk would have been nice and more choice of cereals.

Location to the airport was fantastic and the room was great. Great coffee served even at 5 30 am.

I liked that this hotel was close to everything didn't really have to travel so much. Very calm and great place.
