The property could be a 5 star, but it really needs some upgrades! Little things like the cushions on the lounge chairs were all stained and ripped - really bad! Also, there weren’t enough chairs on the beach and there was plenty of room for more. Most of the staff were extremely nice except for those that worked behind the bar at Prickly Pear. We had a number of issues with our suite (no hot water, AC broke, no towels, hair dryer broke, hot tub did not work correctly, moldy smell, curtains didn’t close, locks on doors did not work), but they were mostly addressed once brought to the staff’s attention. Buffet breakfast was pleasant, especially the made-to-order omelettes. Could not get a taxi to take us to dinner which was very surprising.

This resort has the potential to be amazing. However it feels like it opened last month and isn’t quite finished yet. The rooms are bare minimum with only the bare essentials. It’s not consistent whether room service will refill even shampoo and coffee daily. The people are friendly but service is slow. Only 1 restaurant is open and the food is okay. The area around the resort is not walkable so you have to arrange for a driver or taxi to take you anywhere, which you will want to get off of the property.
The resort sits on the north side of the island so it’s often windy and the beach was small and full of seaweed.
For the money. I would stay elsewhere and likely not even this island. We won’t be returning.

Upon arrival I was in awe of the hotel. The decor was beautiful. I felt like I was in paradise. I was greeted with my choice of drink and did not have to touch my luggage. The hotel staff was amazing from the beginning of my stay until the end. I traveled for a quick getaway while I still work from my computer. I chose a room with an ocean view and was completely satisfied. I was able to hear the beach water at night while I had my balcony door open. It was truly serene. I will definitely return again. I recommend anyone that’s traveling for business, solo, with friends, and or with their family to stay here. You will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights & 4 days. The hotel coordinated for us to be picked up from the airport which cost $25 US. When we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed with a wet cleaning towel and given a perfect rum punch as a welcome drink. We had an ocean view room w/ a balcony. The room was perfect.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. The resort is peaceful and quiet- if you are looking for a relaxing experience. It has a beautiful ambiance with it’s unique art work. The hotel was accommodating by allowing us to check out late since we had an evening flight- of course there was a fee but it wasn’t expensive. If you are hungry at 2am- no worries- the kitchen is open 24/7 !
I do wish the menu had more options that reflected local food.
While swimming be mindful as the water can be a bit wavy but I think is due to the back & forth of the boats used to get to Prickly Pear Island which we did not get to try- however we heard good music coming from them.
Taxis will be the main expense as food is reasonably priced.
Ask for John John to be your driver - he is the best !

Resort is located a few minutes away from the airport. We were greeted with cold towels and amazing rum punch and was given a tour/orientation of the resort upon arrival. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I also love the beautiful artwork presented through out the resort. I would recommend to anyone planning to visit the island.

Absolutely incredible. The location is gorgeous, very clean, and safe. The decor is modern and fun. The service is truly fantastic - some of the best I have experienced on vacation. The hotel itself has a private island you can visit (which is amazing!), and a beautiful and all-hours restaurant with delicious meals and excellent service. Not to mention, flawless Wifi throughout. All this and it’s only 7 mins drive from the airport. I can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful property, amazing pools, water front dining, friendly staff ! The food at all restaurants was excellent. They have a water taxi for a short ride to a private island that has cabanas and en excellent bar and grill. The island is open monthly for a full moon party.
The bartenders, Delvin and Marvelous at Drift- the beach front bar were awesome. Some of the best drinks ever. I would recommend and would definitely return to this oasis!

The service here was truly exceptional - from front desk to restaurant to beach to drivers, the people here were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and proactive. The common areas of the property itself are also gorgeous - architecturally striking and beautifully appointed. The views of the ocean from the main property are stunning. And Prickly Pear Island is a beautiful beach, with some calm wading water on the south side.
Only two issues with the property (whether these end up being important to you depends on your preference). First, our room had a slightly moldy smell (a side effect of the humid climate, doubtless, but unfortunate nonetheless). Second, the beach at the main property (north-facing, not the Prickly Pear beach) is much rougher and less swimmable than the perfect placid Caribbean beach you might envision (an artifact of it being on the north side of the island - nothing specific to the property). The perfect calm waters are found by Dickinson Bay and Jolly Harbour. The hotel is happy to arrange a taxi for you to those places, but if you're looking to walk to the beach and spend lots of time in the water (especially with small kids), you might be better served staying in one of those areas.
Overall though - a beautiful property, great people, and a compelling value proposition for most potential guests.
