Overview

The Trade Winds Hotel is praised for its excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and good onsite restaurant. Guests have noted that staff go above and beyond to assist with things like taxi bookings and arranging for access to facilities after check-out. While the hotel itself is described as having beautiful architecture, some rooms may be small and in need of modernisation. The hotel also receives positive mentions for its security and safe environment. However, a lack of nearby bus services is a negative point raised by some guests, leading to increased taxi costs. It's important to note that there were reports of overbooking resulting in guest transfers.

Having previously stayed at the Trade Winds Hotel, I decided to book again, due to the excellent location, great restaurant and excellent staff. All staff that I came into contact with went out of their way to help me, from booking taxis to arranging a shower room after my check out time, and were all friendly, approachable, professional with a great sense of humour. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Trade Winds Hotel.

All staff at Trade Winds Hotel were very friendly. They provided excellent customer service. The security on site made me feel extra safe and they were friendly. The only issue I had is that there is no bus service near the hotel, which meant that I spent a lot on taxis.

This was a great place, and I'll stay there again, if I return to Antigua. The hotel is older and has beautiful architecture, which was perfect for me. The location was good. The northwestern side of the island has calmer seas, so the beach nearby had calm waters, at least when I was there. The room was clean, but not immaculate and the condition was good, but could use remodeling. The staff was professional and friendly (other than one waitress who was slightly judgmental about the number of drinks I ordered one evening). Other reviews of this hotel indicated that this is a hotel for business travelers. I was on business, and indeed, the British Airways and I believe Virgin flight crews stay there. But there were plenty of tourists relaxing there as well. Overall I had a great experience and hope to return soon.

I had three night booked but only got to stay one night. The hotel was overbook and had no rooms to accommodate. I was transferred to a much less preferred place. Hotels.com and trade winds played the blame game on each but the only person who suffered and lost was us. Trade winds it self was nice. The rooms were pretty small but location and views are ideal. The service at the restaurant was lacking everything came wrong and the pancakes were awful, we sent back
