Rockhampton Riverside Central Hotel

It was convenient, well priced, clean and everything worked. Convenient carparking. It was a little noisy, but I just turned on the aircon. It was better than i expected for the price point.

I didn't like having to enter the building to get to and from my room through a locked fire door then walk up and down flights of stairs, because there was no all-day entry through reception due to it being locked at various times in the day, given that the managers live on the premises. I found this very difficult due to my own medical condition. The doors had to be opened with a key that I found very hard to turn in the lock, the doors were very heavy to open and carrying luggage up the stairs I found very difficult and painful. The motel was in a very convenient location for my needs but sadly I won't ever return to this particular motel in Rockhampton.

We were given a room right on the side of main highway and entry to the bridge, even though there were only 4guests that night. There were plenty of rooms on the other side of complex. But it’s the main highway for north QLD. And the trucks slowing there brakes for the lights was all night long. The bed was from 19 th century. I will never stay again and have will advise anyone I no not too. Absolutely shocking. Or and shower drain was blocked so couldn’t shower did that at airport on our way to Uluru. 3 flights that day to get there for Qld. With no sleep and no comfortable shower before leaving for a Hoilday of a lifetime. Thank good the deserts in the sand resort was amazing.
