Hyatt Place Kelowna

The Hotel presents itself as a very nice almost “resort like” building that you would see in say: Mexico. It’s just off the main road, and the rear abuts. The Desk check in staff was most courteous, efficient, and professional. Ana also answered my questions regarding the nearby Town, points of interest, and Restaurants. The room was well laid out, spotlessly clean, and the bed comfortable. Pillow options were good. We’ve stayed at the Hyatt Kelowna Hotels before, and its clear that these people know what they’re doing in operating a hotel, and they do it very well. Clean efficient, well decorated and with a decent bed to sleep in. Room; The room was spacious, clean and the furniture well positioned. The bathroom was clean and large enough for a couple to prepare in the morning to start their day. Coffee maker and small fridge are always appreciated when travelling, and this room had each. The bed was large and comfortable, and an assortment of pillows allowed a guest to choose firm or soft depending on your preferences. The room faced the back lot and was quiet in the night. The only criticism I have is i was reluctant to use the safe as it was not secured at all to the wall or wall stud. It was easily liftable for a thief to cart away. When you have seen a thief hoist a Clothes Drier on his shoulders and ride it away on a mountain bike, this safe would be no challenge for him. Please secure the safes better. Overall, Hyatt did a good job here with running a Hotel.

The facility is near new and very nice with easy parking. I think that they were running a little short-handed as house-keeping service (we were short a couple of towels) was a little slow, but we would stay again.

Nice Room, great parking in under ground parkade, pet friendly

My overall stay was great with the exception of finding out at check in that I had to pay per night for parking, this was not indicated as part of the fees on the booking page. As well I drive a full size pick up truck and so I needed to use oversized above ground parking, this was not monitored well at all, on more then one occasion there were mid size and smaller vehicles in the spaces provided (which were not many) and caused issues with parking.

We liked that everything was so clean and all the staff members were so nice! Breakfast was decent, although sometimes we didn't see any fruit options and one day the fruit option was frozen strawberries. We missed crackers or muffins for breakfast too. But what we disliked the most was how disgusting the coffee tasted like. We tried different milks, adding sugar, both first and second day, nothing helped. Neither my mother, husband or myself could drink it. There's a Starbucks not too far from there where we'd get just our coffees from but you're not allowed to bring them into the restaurants, so we'd have to take them to our bedroom. About the beds, it's not that they're uncomfortable, but they were too soft for our taste and we easily woke each other up by moving when sharing the bed. The parking lot is spacious and underground, which is convenient to keep us from the elements and we liked that too.

Nice staff and nice location, recommend when travelling with family

We stayed here two years ago when it first opened, it was great, this visit we were disappointed, breakfast was limited, the exterior parking lot was not clean and tidy. The room was good, we did enjoy the mattress and pillows.

Normally, being by the elevators does not bother me. Unfortunately, it was incredibly loud and noisy. It literally sounded like the people were in my room. Not fun to be woken up at 6:00 in the morning or late at night, both times I wish that the other guests were more considerate of the noise levels of the groups as there was kids soccer tournament. Situations kept happening that I did not have much patience for at the end I understand and respect it was a very busy weekend , I Could not utilize the pool or roof top because my keys wasn't working (It ends up being a systemal issue). Couldn't utilize room service as no one told me about the numbering system until the last order. One of the staff was very rude to me when asking for extended check out due to a later flight. One of the managers however, was the only one that was very helpful in all my frustrating situations allowing me to vent. I would love to try and stay here again, but far from the elevators. Must note the fries are amazing!
