Microtel Inn & Suites Montreal Airport - Dorval QC

Well, I was unhappy from the very beginning because this was advertised as a hotel near the airport and it was nowhere near the airport and it cost me $30 each way to get to it. I could’ve gotten a closer hotel for that $60 that I paid then when I got there the room just smelled like some kind of chemical that they must’ve used to try to get a rid of whatever smell I’ve been there before, I almost asked for another room but I was I was just too tired. Then I couldn’t get the bathtub to work which was a disappointment and the free breakfast well I didn’t get to get the free breakfast because apparently they didn’t start serving it till after I had to leave for the airport, but I was told by the front desk person that they would have a sack breakfast for me to take when I got down there. There was no such thing And the guy ran and hurried and put a banana, an apple and some yogurt into a second and I just handed it to me. I was not impressed and I would not recommend staying there again.

Stay was ok, stayed for 2 nights. We requested for cleaning they denied saying room service is only for 3 or more nights, we asked if they can just vacuum the floor as kids had made a mess but they denied. The breakfast cannot handle a crowd, we had to wait for hours to get turn. Safe parking, they had gated entry and exit making car parking safe. Pool was amazing, kids loved it.

What a great hotel! My room was so beautiful and practical ! The only problem was that I was very disappointed how far it is from the airport and that there was no shuttle. The breakfast was awesome, one of the best I have had in a hotel. Over all I loved it!

The property was new and our room was very clean albeit a little smaller than we expected. We definitely had some issues that would have changed my mind and converted my 4 star rating into a 5 star. First, the hotel is constantly running out of things. I used the gym in the hotel and it never had water although they had placed a water cooler there. During breakfast, you never knew what would run out or break down. I understand if I was the last one at breakfast but I typically arrived to eat between 7 and 7:30 (breakfast is 6:30-9:30) and even then, I would find that the bananas are finished or the whole wheat bread only has 1 slice left or that the fruits for the yogurt have been switched from blueberries to strawberries because of shortage. This was a daily occurrence. Another frustrating thing was that there is a gate to enter and exit the parking lot of the hotel and no one gave us a ticket to make our entry easier, even though we asked. It was so inconvenient and stupid to press the call button and wait at the gate each and every time we wanted to exit and enter the parking lot. Another thing is that there’s no safe in the hotel room, which is odd because I’ve never been to a hotel room that doesn’t have one. The staff is also kind of rude and standoffish. Other than the nice staff lady I ran into in the elevator, I didn’t meet a single person that treated me nicely, made me feel welcome or took the time to address my concerns.

New hotel. Very clean and quiet. Rooms were updated and equipped with multiple USB and phone charging ports. Close to local shops and restaurants. Close enough to airport but did not hear any airplane noise.

I like the clean room and the parking was to easy to access

We had a good stay. The staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Soap had not been not refilled but got it immediately from room service. All facilities mentioned were present including towels in gym and pool area. 2 bathrooms are also present in pool area. The hot tub was well heated and cozy. The slide was fun for the children. Breakfast was satisfactory- cereals, eggs, oats, waffle, breads and some more. It is outside the city ofcourse. Having your own transport definitely helps. The private parking lot requires key card to enter and exit.

I like that the hotel was close to the airport and that it was quiet. Thank you so much.

Visiting for business, booked a deluxe queen suite, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Small kitchenette and fridge. Perfect for a 3 night stay. Later in the morning breakfast area can be crowded. Bar and limited dining available in the evening. Complimentary car parking.

I had a unpleasant experience with the front desk manager, the check-out time is 11am, in the morning around 9:30am I asked her if you could make a late check-out to which she immediately said no, which we accepted and at the agreed time 11am we made our check-out. We stayed in the hotel lobby to wait for our flight; but I noticed that some customers were doing late check-outs (12:45 pm) I don't like to have confrontations but I went to asked the manager this, and she mentioned that they were only handing over keys so I told her that was not true ( we met them at the pool and they just leaving) and then she said when I asked her for the late check-out, she confirmed with her housekeeper supervisor if there was availability of the room which was not true either, she did not call. :(
