Overview

The Wyndham Shanghai Hongqiao is praised for its cleanliness and luxurious feel, exceeding expectations for a hotel in China. Guests appreciate its proximity to Hongqiao Airport and Railway Station, although the hotel's location is described as somewhat isolated and requiring taxis or the hotel shuttle bus for transport. The hotel rooms are noted for being clean and comfortable, and breakfast receives positive feedback. However, the Wi-Fi is unreliable, and although a wired internet connection is available, guests might find the signal strength inadequate. The hotel's shuttle to the airport is described as a questionable service.

Very close to the fair , don’t trust the hotel free shuttle bus to the fair , they just drop you some place around the fair where is much more far then you walk to fair! Terrible! Too much small flyers !

The hotel is near to Hongqiao airport and Railway station, you have to take taxi or review the times at hotel bus pass here, and to take train to go to city you can take it. This rooms are goods, clean and comfortable.

I was concerned as I had read reviews of other on the smell of mold in the room. I am not sure if I got a good room or if they had replaced the carpets, but the room didn't smell like mold or smoke, which is rare. I didn't have a sinus headache the whole time. Overall it is comfortable, breakfast is good and the staff is great. I was there during the cold season and the room was nice and warm. One major issue is that the Wi-Fi signal is unusable. The internet is good and decent speed, but the signal is in and out. If you plug into the wired connection behind the desk, it is fine. I used a small portable router that I carry with me while travelling that covers the room, so for me it was fine.

It was clean and luxurious. The cleanest hotel i have stayed at in China, where even 4 star hotels are worn-out and grimy. It is close to the airport. A 30RMB taxi ride. And I took the airport shuttle service back. But it is under an overpass in the middle of nowhere. So don't expect to eat anywhere other than the hotel. There is a KTV as part of the hotel. Out of curiosity, I asked how much. 600Rmb for a room with a girl. Yes, that kind of girl. I guess it's common in China.

I just stayed here for a night to catch a flight from Shanghai. It's very close to Hong Qiao airport and hence a fairly isolated neighborhood with minimal public transit availability, and too far from Shanghai downtown. However, the hotel looks nothing less than a royal palace from the outside as well as inside. Rooms, staff and services were also quite good.
