Mercure Santa Marta Emile

Beautiful sized air conditioned rooms with balcony. Nice powerful shower with separate toilet so no waiting for my partner to finish showering or shaving. We had a view over the pool which was lovely. Food in the restaurant was good and well priced. A two min walk to a good stretch of beach. Along the coast from old town Santa Marta but only 10mins from airport.

It is a good Mercure Hotel close to the airport and it has a nice beach. Too bad that only a few employees speak English.

Great property, only a few items i was disappointed in. 1. I booked through expedia and was flying from Nova Scotia, canada to visit my girlfriend in Colombia, i paid for a double room and told them i would be meeting my girlfriend there, when we checked in i had to pay 40000 pasos for each day we were there for her to stay with me. And nuber 2. There was 2 days we did not recieve towels, soap and toilet paper , had to call down 3 times to get them to bring them to us. The property was beautiful and front staff and parking garage staff was amazing.

No wake up call I missed my flight

I'm an Expat from the US and I currently live in Mexico, I traveled to Columbia to visit with a female friend who lives in Columbia. She was robbed at the bus station when she arrived in Santa Marta and her documents were taken The Hotel would not allow her to stay at the Hotel without her Documents. Even after talking with Management for over one hour and explaining our situation. The Hotel didn't help us in this situation. We spent the next four hour trying to find a hotel that would let us stay without her documents. We finally stayed at Hotel with Razor wire around the property. I won't be returning to Columbia anytime soon. One Positive note was I didn't give the hotel my credit card information for the four night stay.
