Overview

Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback frequently mentions spacious rooms with ocean views, a beautiful beach ideal for snorkelling, and friendly staff who provide excellent service. However, some guests experienced issues with room maintenance (leaky showers, dirty crib sheets), towel shortages, and inconsistent food quality across different restaurants. The resort's proximity to the airport is a plus, with a quick 10-minute transfer time mentioned by some guests. While there are reports of loud noises at night, other guests praise the overall experience, especially for couples seeking a relaxing getaway.

We chose Dreams Curaçao for our honeymoon and we’re so glad we did! It was a quick 10 minute trip from the airport and once we arrived check in was quick and easy. Our room was a King Pool View and was much more spacious than we anticipated with a view of the kids pool and beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding area from the large patio. We did find the bed quite hard and there was a loud bird that would wake us up some mornings. Other than those few things the room was great. Oswoldo was extremely welcoming and assisted us in booking a few excursions as well as renting a car and getting us set up with a very handy navigation app on our phones for getting around on the island. The service and food at the restaurants was okay. I would recommend the steak house and seafood restaurant but we didn’t have much luck with the Italian. The main buffet was good for breakfast but lunch was a little hit or miss especially if you are a pickier eater. The beach is beautiful and had really good snorkelling. We did snorkel a few other places on the island but found the beach here better than the other tourist spots. Towels however were extremely hard to come by and if you want a lounge chairs on the beach or around the main pool you need to be up early by about 7am to nab them. The kids pool was hardly used at all and always had lounge chairs available. Overall we really enjoyed our time in Curaçao and at the Dreams resort. We will definitely return again.

We are very well travelled and have therefore been to countless hotels and resorts. Having said this, we have not come across a resort/hotel which has had so many issues that staying there was made to feel like torture and misery. There were so many issues: the atrocious service, the rude and unhelpful staff, the lack of towels in the room throughout, the hours of waiting for a dinner table despite there being countless empty tables in the restaurant, the food being cold, the leaks and broken tap in the bathroom, the dangerous chairs, being avoided by the management to address any complaints, food ordered with room service didn’t arrive for nearly two hours, when we rang reception we were told they didn’t receive the order despite speaking to someone on the phone to amend the order. The list of issues is endless. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

We had a great time at the resort, however we had looked at the reviews before hand so we knew what to expect. Know that everything there is rather slow, island time, and it takes time to get your food, or get things done. The food and dinning options were great, however some restaurant would not be open randomly. We had a romantic dinner scheduled, and Junior our waiter went above and beyond. We loved that experience. We also had a great time at the spa. We had arranged airport shuttles with Amstar, and that went great as well. The main problem of the resort is getting towels. The day we checked in, bath towels weren't available and we had to ask for some a couple times, to finally get them around 8pm- which was late, after we had travelled for 12 hours prior to arriving at the resort. The pool towels are also a major problem, if you don't get up around 8 am to get a couple, you'll have to wait several hours to get some from the next batch. They have a cleaning company for all towels outside of the resort, which is a system that obviously doesn't seem to work well, as clients would run out of towels every day. Something to keep in mind also, there are evening animations every night. If your room is located right above, it will get very loud (especially with small children). However, most evening animations were over around 10:30pm at the latest. Overall, we have enjoyed our time there. We were not looking to mingle or party, and managed to relax!

First let me start by saying the food was absolutely horrible!!! Just disgusting! Doesnt matter which restaurant your choose the food is the worst. Overall the location of the resort is convenient to go to the beach or downtown. The room with even numbers provided a nice view of the pool & beach area. If you have a room with an odd number i feel bad for you because you will be looking at a run down parking lot with trailers your entire vacation stay. The staff was pretty friendly and it was easy to get drinks at the main bar. Not much entertainment going on here as opposed to other resorts i visited. The other bars they advertised were not open. Overall i give this place 3 stars because of the location

The staff was very friendly and always willing to assist. However, some of the facilities and rooms could do with some upgrading. We travelled with an infant and requested a crib which was provided, however, the sheets that came with the crib was dirty. One of the restaurants on the property which is close to the beach had really subpar food and it was sweltering - maybe consider installing some ceiling fans for the comfort of guests

OMG, so beautiful. This is a great idea for someone who wants quite. Great honeymoon idea for couples. This is a small property, but very convenient when getting to your room, food, and drinks. The beach is small but beautiful and glorious in its own way. Yes, I will travel back again.

So, our stay was phenomenal! Great food, views and the staff was nothing shy of Outstanding. My only complaints were 1) The bed, pillows and sheets were atrocious. 2) the outside dining area had way too many birds flying around and picking near and on food. Maybe some type of screen or ultrasonic device would help. 3) The bee's around the bar were annoying (I don't like bees) and there were a lot of them. All this to say I would go back tomorrow and deal with it again to be there!! Thank you for a great stay!

Dreams? Haha more like Nightmares… Thankfully, we only had to stay here for just one night due to a flight cancellation, so there weren’t many options left at the time of booking. It was a painful reminder that all-inclusive resorts are just going to serve and do the bare minimum to maximize profits - disappointing considering it’s a Hyatt property. 1) The room we stayed in allowed all kinds of hallway noise (doors slamming, people walking/talking) due to a fairly significant door gap from the floor 2) Food at the World Cafe restaurant was extremely underwhelming - red flag when our kids dont even want to eat the pizza or chocolate cake 3) All-inclusive is an attractive option theoretically, but the liquor served is bottom shelf. It’s one thing if you pay $100 -$300/night but for 658? Hard. Pass. 4) When we woke up and went downstairs to eat for what we hoped to be a nice brunch, the only restaurant that was supposed to be open from 11-5 (Seaside Grill), was closed due to rain earlier in the morning..leaving us no options. 5) only redeeming thing is the manager sensed our obvious frustration and was able to order food for our kids and personally delivered it with me to our room.

POSITIVES-Loved the large rooms, comfortable bed, room facilities & nice views. Beach was intimate and clean. Swimming pool was good size, overlooking the sea. Lovely warm sea water. 4 restaurant choices. Generally the food provided was ok, Oceana served great food. Staff were mostly very friendly, Norman in particular deserves a shout out. Casino was a great size although the gaming tables only opened at 8pm. Easy to get a local bus for $2 outside the hotel, to take you downtown. It's far to walk in the heat. NEGATIVES-No free Shuttle service available from airport to Hotel. Spa was ridiculously expensive so I didn't use it. Shower leaked continually onto the floor. Slipped without falling, a few times. An elderly person may not be as fortunate. Nightly entertainment looked silly. I would advise to go to Punda or elsewhere. Didn't appreciate the fire alarms going off at 2:00am & 2:40am on 21st August. It took the hotel an hour to sort this out. Considering this is called Dreams Hotel, no one was allowed to dream that night. The same thing happened on the afternoon of the 20th, while I was trying to have a nap. 1 elevator was out of service for 4 out of the 5 days. Bar staff clearly understaffed and you wait 20 minutes to get a drink. The bottled water was often warm.
