Positive: Hospitality was amazing. We really appreciated the anniversary cake: Negatives: Pool closed earlier every night and was closed our last day at the resort for renovations. This should have been communicated before traveling or discounted in our stay.

The staff are absolutely fantastic! All were very lovely people from our room cleaning staff to the drivers and bartenders. They were wonderful! They helped with travel when we needed it and always had a smile even though we were all concerned about Beryl at the time I can’t say enough. The accommodations were spacious and clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! 💕

It is the perfect place for family vacation. Though I can't say you ever heard loud kids. There is just a lot for them to do and be happy about. As for parents and grandparents it's paradise. I've traveled much of the world. This was the nicest most accommodating staff I've ever encountered. I'll be back for sure

I usually don’t take the time to write negative reviews but this really warrants it. The service at this so called luxury resort was appalling. Staff were mostly rude (a few nice ones here and there), I’m talking being aggressive asking me why I don’t speak Spanish (wasn’t a joke, asked me on 2 different occasions). Before I could finish my breakfast, they brought the check for me to sign (restaurant wasn’t even busy), food was pretty terrible- room service they charge service charge AND USD5 delivery which seems unwarranted. Worst of all, the room service guy messed up and had to come back later while I was sleeping and was banging at the door like a gangster at 10pm at night. It could’ve waited until the morning, not like I was going anywhere. They also overcharged me for the resort fee, I didn’t realise until I thought it seemed very expensive so double checked. Had to go to reception and ask for a refund- they were hesitant at first and said “oh the resort fee is for the shuttle bus”. The shuttle bus I didn’t even use. Housekeeping took away the bath robe for whatever reason, and there were no slippers. No mugs in the room- just paper cups. Poor amenities. On top of this, before I arrived I emailed twice about a shuttle from the airport, and asked if they could book a restaurant for my birthday, and they didn’t even respond. Stay somewhere else. Staff arrogant and rude and just plain awful.

Westin never disappoints, we booked at another property non refundable because it look good only to find a hard bed and terrible food. At the Westin we experienced a heavenly stay, comfortable bed, AC, wifi in room and great staff! Also we thought being close to the airport would be an issue but you’re farther than it looks and it’s very enjoyable.

I liked how remote and quiet it is. Everyone was nice and friendly. One thing that I did not like was they would not allow uber pickup from the resort. We had to order a taxi and it was ridiculous rates even to go out of the resort. Very inconvenient.

The good: amazing beach with white sand and clear water. Ample and spacious so that we did not feel crowded. Great swimming pools. The bad: dining options were very limited: three restaurants all extremely overpriced and with very little options when traveling with small children. Taxis outside of the property also very overpriced, to the point where looking for eat-outs was made expensive. Bill for 4 full days including 3 breakfasts for 2 people, sandwiches for lunch and small dinner every night. One drink per day US$ 1250.00. The ugly: Staff was ZERO friendly. I booked 5 nights and was downgraded from a premium suite to a much smaller room the first night, and offered US$30 per night if I kept the smaller room. I did not accept and was offered US$ 150.00 compensation when transferred to my suite on day 2. The compensation was not included in my final bill and I had to complain again on checkout. Hotel fees on my bill were overstated and I had to ask for a correction too. Food was uncooked at the beachside restaurant and the head waiter was completely rude when we made him aware. Had to ask many times for a toddler seat each morning at breakfast before someone would bother, etc. Overall not an experience I would repeat. I have been many times to the Dom. Rep. and there are many amazing beaches with great service and where you dont feel ripped off with US$ 9 beer cans or US$ 18 mojitos; and above all where staff greet you with a sincere smile.

It is a great place for vacation. Only negative experience was that we didn't get the room with view as advertised. We arrived at 12.30 noon on AA flight, had to wait for hours to get the room,they don't offer early check-in which is not good for the customers. Also,when we ordered food one late night,on 2nd September the restaurant didn't have chicken, they brought the food after an hour delay, one item had beef which we dont eat. Rest was fabulous!

Staff were friendly and always ready to help. I highly recommend Franklin from the hotel concierge desk. He always checked in with us and whatever we needed, he arranged and would take us himself. Even did a trip to a local pharmacy for us when needed. Another employee of the tranportation company Greyline, who picked us up at airport, Cecilio, was also super friendly and accommodating. Tours were arranged by Amado of Greyline, and he did not steer us wrong. All tours were well organized and on time. Hotel a little pricey but definitely worth the attention and service. Rooms were always impeccable and properly stocked with towels and waters. Beds and linens super comfortable and the in room AC control made it super easy. Would recommend and return to in near future.
