Overview

The Trans International Hotel offers budget-friendly accommodation within walking distance of Nadi International Airport, making it convenient for short stays between flights. Guests appreciate its proximity to the airport and the friendly, helpful staff. However, reviews reveal inconsistencies in service and amenities. While some find the rooms clean and spacious, several reports mention issues such as faulty air conditioning, non-functional televisions, unreliable Wi-Fi (limited to the reception area), and a lack of essential amenities like towels or toiletries in some rooms. Furthermore, some guests have reported significant issues with cleanliness, including stained bedsheets and evidence of bed bugs. The hotel is undergoing renovations, which has impacted certain services. Therefore, travellers should be prepared for potential inconsistencies and manage their expectations.

It is an airport hotel and it matches the price, so keep your expectations reasonable. However a few important items: They say that wifi is available for a fee, but actually the wifi is only available in the reception and not in rooms (if you are a business traveller it is important to know this). The airport shuttle is just that they will call a taxi for you. Apparently none of the TVs work in the whole complex (?). So they took away all the remote controls and the TV in the room is just 'decorative'. Some bleach in the bathrooms would do wonders for the place. But overall it was exactly what was needed for a single night, however if we had known some of the above info we could have planned better. The patio looked nice and the outlook was quite pleasant so that was a nice surprise.

The staff is very friendly, you get a mini fridge, kettle, working AC, and a balcony in your room! There is only wifi in the lobby though so be prepared to leave your room to access it. So close to the airport that you can walk to it.

It was ok because it was close to the airport but; 1. When we arrived late at night, they were very slow in getting us in 2. Internet only worked in the reception area but only for a few minutes 3. We asked for towels when we arrived and were told housekeeping will provide in the morning and that did not happen 4. Had to ask reception for bowls so we can have our cereals and was told there nothing, no spoons or forks, even cups for coffee 5. Wanted to watch tv but did not work I

Some of the bad reviews are why they've hired the new manager, Raj, I've been told. If he inserts his friendly, outgoing personality into this hotel, it will become much better. Fiji needs a low-cost hotel, but it doesn't need to be that low. My room was $85 a night Fijian, which is about $50 Canadian. If they raised it to $125 Fijian, it's still very low for most travellers, and then they could use that extra money to inject some things to make the experience a little better. In my opinion, they need to add a bit of joy to the lobby and the rooms. I suggest hiring a Fijian artist to do two or three little pieces on the walls in the rooms as an example. The pool is very nice and it is next-door to the Gateway Hotel, which has a great restaurant. For context, I asked the Gateway about the cost of their rooms and it was $350 a night Fijian. It's a beautiful hotel and worth it, but not everyone transiting wants to spend that amount of money. So the Trans International Hotel has a bit of work to do but with Raj I think they have a plan. I hope they carry it out.

The room are perfect size and comfort beds 🛌 linen and towels was clean 👌 🙌 love the staffs very helpful and friendly and they work really hard. I hope they get good pays. Very close to the airport you can walk there no problem. My kids love the swimming pool. What i don't like they don't have wifi at the rooms and 3 story building with no lifts lots of exercises on those stairs 😒 but we love our time in bela land.

The rooms are nice and big. The mattress is horrible. Something that should be in the trash. The springs poke you when you sleep on it. The walk in shower has a big jacuzzi in it , which was unnecessary, the water leaks behind the jacuzzi if u use the shower, and it floods the bathroom. Not suitable for anyone with disabilities. The hotel has 3 floor and they dont have a elevator or an escalator which was a bummer for us with almost 5 suitcase. The fijian security guy was awesome helping us out. We made sure he was tipped for carrying our bags. The best part is thats its literally a minute drive from nadi airport. The manager was also nice to come and check on us when we complained about our issues. Walking up and down 3 floors was hectic esp if you have swollen feet.

Well. It is walking distance from the airport. BUT: Wifi doesn't reach the rooms. The sheets were not changed from the last guest - even a blood stain. There is no cafe or restaurant.
