Hôtel Orly Superior

Experience at this hotel was mixed. Room was ok, beds were a bit worn out so comfort was not the best. Shower has a design flaw where there is a step to get in but nothing to block the water from leaking out of the open shower area. The drain either needs to be fixed to drain faster or redesign the shower. Carpet of the hallway for the rooms was very dirty looks to not have been cleaned in a long time. Hotel had an airport shuttle, driver was great.

Said there was an airport shuttle but in fact it goes very limited hours. So it was a very, very long walk to public transportation in the airport complex and a long walk from public transportation to hotel. Room was shabby and very, very basic with lack of hand towels or tissues for example.

We intentionally chose this hotel due to how close it was to the airport and that they offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. We figured it would be a safe way to store our luggage while we were in the city and to get a few hours of sleep before our flight. Nothing on the website said there were minimal spots for the shuttle or that it only ran for short periods of time. Hours that are not helpful for literally any flight coming or going. We ended up having to get a taxi which cost more than the hotel room and taking the metro through a very sketchy part of town. Talk about frustrating. The only upside is that we were able to store our luggage. However, it wasn't secured in a room, just left at the desk, and they required no identification to pick up the luggage and they even tried to give us someone else's bag. We're lucky that our luggage was still there and everything seemed to still be in our bags. It was a waste of money to book a room here as we slept for less than 2 hours and we didn't even get the main amenity we booked it for and the hotel was a step above a trashy motel. It was nothing like what the photos or other reviews claimed, but at least the staff was nice.

It was faitly close walking distance to T7 train to airport. Dated hotel room. No coffee or teal facilities. Room smelled of stale smoke. Bathroom and shower curtin smelled of smoke. Pillows smelled of smoke. No air con very hot in room. We had a big window however being on the ground floor is was unsafe to sleep with it open in the area. Carpet was , end of life.

I'm not one to write a negative review, but this is necessary. It is more a motel than a hotel. The furnishings are extremely worn and dated, towels had holes, carpets are dirty and worn. Only convenience (and reason we stayed here) is the airport shuttle, but next time we'll just take an Uber. Shuttle only runs until 9:30 AM, so if your flight is later, it is not useful. In conclusion, would NOT stay here again and can't recommend this property.

Quite disappointed with this hotel - in pictures looked, but ended up being cheap uncomfortable sleeping place. Not very environmentally friendly - toiletries and soap in individual plastic packaging - not dispenser. Quite clean but dated style and pretty used condition. Positives: + Location: 5 min from Orly airport + free shuttle to and from the airport + cost: very cheap for Paris, mid-range European + late checkout: 11:30am + onsite breakfast for €9.50 (March 2024) + 24/7 reception Negatives: - no soundproofing: woke up 100 times due to the noise outside (very windy and could hear planes) and feeling like neighbours were in my room - very hard uncomfortable bed - took forever to fall asleep and woke up at 4am with pain in my back, shoulders and hips - no kettle/coffee machine in the room - very old heating system that made a lot of noise inside the room - hard pillows + only one extra pillow for double room - bathroom sink was blocked and didn’t drain for couple minutes after using - no lock on bathroom door - last shuttle to the airport at 9:30am, then only tram until 6pm when shuttle restarts

Perfect for the airport.

Super dirty carpeting covered with lint, hair, unidentifiable junk. Bathroom was clean. Pulled up bedding to look for bed bugs (none) and found human hair on the mattered. Room stunk of cigarettes. Horrible. Very nice front desk woman and super attentive emails for the shuttle service.

Very disappointed with this hotel. To begin with, the airport shuttle was only offered between 5 - 9:30am. Since our flight was mid-afternoon we had to take a taxi for 10 euros. The carpet in our room was dirty and stained and there were no shades on the reading lights on either side of the bed which made for a very harsh light. I am not a picky individual but this hotel was below even my standards!
