Platzhirsch Living Hotel

This is a great place to stay near the Frankfurt airport and there's a car park right next to it that has a 24-hour every 30 minutes shuttle bus to the airport. So it's great for getting tuned from the airport great place to leave your car if you need to. We got a sweet for under $100 so we have a little living area and a dining area with a table to sit up in the separate bedroom. It was very nice we were comfortable there there was a grocery store you could walk to just down the street which was helpful. There's no microwave though and no refrigerator.

Nice, clean hotel near the airport with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Our only “issue” was that the free airport shuttle does not pick up in front of the terminal; one has to walk quite a way, some of it under the rain, to a bus stop by the airport’s medical center. Similarly, the shuttle does not drop off in front of the hotel entrance, but rather at a parking structure about 200 ft. away, and one needs to drag one’s bags outside in the rain to reach the hotel entrance. It was an enjoyable stay, other than the issue with the hotel’s shuttle.

Well, would score 11/10 if i could. Wonderful staff, spotless hotel throughout free shuttle to rhe airport. Very comfortable & well appointed room. Food i had was delicious, draft Pils was great & all fir very reasonable price. Will not hesitate to stay again when in Frankfurt.

Very clean and beds were extremely comfortable. We were looking for a place close to airport at a fair price… this place was a home run!

Room and location was fine and glad they had a free shuttle but why doesn’t the shuttle pick up in front of hotel? Instead you get on at the parking garage which is about a 4 min walk away. That’s not much until you add in suitcases. Also no ramp to enter the facility which requires you to carry your luggage up 6-7 steps. The room also didn’t have a hairdryer…maybe that was noted when booking but I missed that. Bed and pillows were comfortable. AC worked well. Young man at reception desk was helpful.

This was a great stay. Some few critics, I wish there was a written instruction on how to get to the hotel from the airport using the shuttle. We absolutely had no clue but thankfully we read a fellow review which outlined this for us. The hotel needs to make this readily available to all. One other thing is the wifi in my room never worked, it was soooo weak, my phone never maintained connection which was super frustrating since I had no mobile data because of roaming charges.

The hotel is great, nice rooms, good restaurant. However, the shuttle bus does not get you directly to the hotel and it does not really depart from the airport terminal. You have to walk to the medical center so you have to exit terminal 1 and walk about 5min outside of the airport. The bus leaves you at a parking garage and then you have to walk again a couple of minutes to the hotel. To enter the hotel you have to climb a flight of stairs. All this does not sound too bad, but if you have a ton of luggage and/or mobility issues, and it is really hot (or cold, or raining) it gets difficult/ uncomfortable. They should be more transparent about this on their website. They make it sound as if it is a door to door service. It took me by surprise and in my situation I would not have chosen this hotel.

There is no free airport shuttle. It is bus which takes you to remote parking and you need to walk 200 meters to the hotel. Hotel doesn't provide the instruction where to find this bus

This is a brand new hotel attached to a new airport off site parking garage. It was an excellent place to spend one night at the airport. The area is very quiet and green when you look out a window. I would call the decor Scandinavian minimalist. We had a suite. Everything was clean. The main room had a hide a bed couch, large table and TV. The bedroom also had a TV. There is a free shuttle, however, I would never have found the pickup point at the airport. It was fine taking it back. The food was good tasting which was important, because there is nothing else around you could walk to.
