Dergvale Hotel

Stayed here with my daughter when I took her to a concert. I was not sure what to expect as it was the cheapest place I could find, but it was lovely it was an old building and the inside was decorated to match but it was very clean and tidy. The room was lovely we had a twin room it was surprisingly spacious, it was very clean nicely decorated and warm. the beds were comfortable and had more than enough blankets. There was a tv in the room with a good choice of channels and the bathroom was clean and worked perfectly. The only one downside was that there was no lift and we were in the top flor so we were up 6 flights of stairs but then we were well able a bit tired after the concert but we got uo there ok and on the phone the lady did say it would be up top and if that was a problem she could move us to a different room, but we didn't mind. I would definatly go back there if I was stsying in this part of Dublin again. Close to shops and restaurants and about 10 to 15 mins wail to the luas. The breakast was lovely, with more than enough food to fill you up, and the staff were so helpful.

A very nice small hoel with a home feel. A very secure building. A quiet street with constant taxis going by. Rooms were cleaned every day. This hotel is almost a straight shot up the street from the temple bar area. Head towards henry street, continue to o connell, then cross the bridge and you are in temple bar. The hotel staff are all wonderful. You get a free hot breakfast with every room. Rooms are very nice with a large amount of space.

We were struggling to find a hotel that had a room available, was affordable and did not have bad reviews. The Dergvale met our requirements. Obviously for the price you must not expect five star: the Dergvale was a little old fashioned, but the hospitality was very good. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable with lovely clean and fresh white bed linen. There were soft towels, lovely soap and plenty of hot water. In addition we enjoyed an ample cooked breakfast with plenty of coffee each morning. We reached the hotel easily on foot from where the airport bus dropped us off, about 10 minutes walk. Overall the Dergvale is excellent value for money and we will return.
