Hotel Contempo

Management was very responsive. Bar tender was professional. Breakfast was nice. Property is lovely. Contemporary style - fascinating hotel. There is a mall nearby - last minute shopping and souvenirs. Airport transfer was smooth

Things I liked: it has a restaurant. Free breakfast. Nice bar. Big room. Things I didn’t like: upon checking in I was given a standard room, that reeked of mildew. I was due for a VIP upgrade (if available) so I went to front desk to inquire right away. It was my honeymoon & my view was of a customers car in parking lot. (Room 2) they offered me room 21 with nice view but near the party venues. I didn’t mind. But the room reeked of Ammonia! But that didn’t equate clean. I wasn’t sure when the last time this room was rented out but there’s a dog poop in the shag rug in the entry room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was dimly lit but ok. But the toilet room smelled like an outhouse. Thru do have hot water :) but shower head has about 12 out of 50 holes giving water. Also I awoke to a live scorpion on the tile floor. That was exciting. As we learned they hunt at night & May be seen resting on cool tile in the morning. I couldn’t sleep well after that thinking the nest was in the room. Overall ok stay. The free upgrade made it worth it. And the food is good. I’ll try some place else next time.

I can't complain about anything with this property! From the reception to the bar to the restaurant, everyone was so kind and so hospitable! Thank you Orlando, Brenda, Mónica, Christian and the rest of the staff there for making my stay such a delight! I definitely recommend this hotel! Plaza once is walking distance which is a plaza with stores and restaurants, very safe area, guards staying around the parking lots. I can't complain about one thing! The pool is gorgeous and the view from the gym!

Hotel Contempo is probably one of the best hotels to stay at in Nicaragua. Very accommodating, my flight was delayed and arrived very late and someone from the hotel was waiting for me after my flight. Upon arrival of the hotel, Jesus was very friendly and explained all of the details of my room. The chef at Hotel Contempo is excellent. I ordered the sea bass and it was one of the best dishes I had in Nicaragua. I really liked the music the hotel played throughout the day and everyone assisted me with any questions I may of had. On my return trip after Corn Island I stayed at Hotel Contempo again. Jesus again assisted me and put me in a great room--#8 for my sister and I. We were glad to have a nice upgrade on the last day of our trip. Will definitely stay here again when I go back to Nicaragua.
