My family and I had a beautiful stay at The Santa Maria. it definitely felt luxurious, the staff were extremely pleasant and eager to assist. It was far enough from the city where we got to enjoy some peace and quiet but also close enough to book affordable Ubers/taxis to the city. We were able to communicate in both Spanish and English with staff. The resort was huge and allowed us to walk around. We ate dinner at the restaurant on property the first night. The food was sooo good! 10/10, I recommend this property.

Lovely bed, bedding and bathroom. Our view was of a construction project and parking lot but that’s not the hotel’s fault. We would prefer being able to self park versus being forced to use valet parking.

Property, staff and overall a great place to stay. I travelled to Panama on a 2 day business trip and this is a great place to stay. The first night I had an issue with a person that had a “party” right next door and was really loud until 4am, I called security and they took care of the matter. I changed to another room.

The property is excellent and close to the airport. Staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to assist guest. Sylvia Goodrich, Issac, Leah, Kimberly and Elizabeth just to name a few were absolutely great. The only issue, the day before checkout, I request transportation to the airport. I specifically asked if I can pay with card. I was told by the front desk it was possible. On Sunday morning, transportation was there as requested. Once arriving at the airport, I attempted to pay with a card and was told they only accept cash. I had to go to the ATM in order to pay for this service at the airport. Lack of communication.

Nice facility with good facilities. Staff/ service was not good. Check-in was late, did not get items ordered at restaurants but was charged, service at restaurants was almost non existent, received inaccurate information regarding airport transportation (was told it would cost $5 and actually cost $35), communication from front desk to transportation company was incomplete and we received a call at 1am for pick-up time at 2pm.

The staff at Santa Maria is outstanding, professional but friendly and always gracious. The hotel’s location makes it a perfect stop after a flight into PTY. Our room was immaculate and quiet.

We were only at The Santa Maria for one night before flying back home to the US, but it was a wonderful place to stay. We'd been staying at much more rustic accommodations in the San Blas Islands, and it was an absolute pleasure to have long, warm showers in the waterfall shower in the spacious bathroom after a week of saltwater and sunshine. The restaurant food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was worth lingering over. I wish we'd had more time to explore more of the hotel's amenities! Halfway between Panama City and Tocumen Airport, it was a great place to make an early flight without having to deal with bad morning traffic in the city.

Exceptional hotel. Had a great experience. Convenient to the airport and the city (one of the best locations in Panama City in terms of convenience) and great for families. Highly, highly recommend.
