Hilton Vacation Club Royal Palm St. Maarten

Ten mins from airport, hotel is right on the water, one expanse of beach and a secluded cove. You can snorkel and will see plenty of fish, and sea life among the rocks that shelter the beach and the water is warm and fairly clear, & it wasn’t crowded. Free sun loungers and beach towels from a hut. The pool area was fine, a nice swim up bar but it felt crowded at times. The pool rules were scattershot, no noodles or floaters but they were available…enforcement depended on who was standing around. I felt the pool water could use a better filter system as it was cloudy at times. The Cabana bar / restaurant was mostly good to great and has a decent happy hour. Our first meal was excellent, subsequent ones just good. One quibble was the service charge or was it a gratuity? That said the staff were cheerful and keen to help, and organized activities each day were fun. Our 5th Flr unit was clean, with a lovely bay view, two modern showers, good kitchen - pretty comfy, and it was (2 bed) big enough for our family (5) BUT the BAR NOISE after 9:30pm was a problem - the beach side bedroom was fine but the street side is brutal. I did request away from the road but we were placed opposite Nowhere Special. We put on white noise and fans so our teen kids could sleep, but that wouldn’t work for two adult couples and you’re forced to hang out on balcony to talk. Resort is no pets but we did see several dogs - Hilton should enforce that. We did enjoy our stay but with some rough edges.

Beautifully updated rooms. Clean pool with swim up bar with friendly service. The front desk staff was very nice, approachable, and helpful. Easy, free parking. The views are stunning. Quick, helpful beach service to bring chairs under the shade for you.

Lovely unit, pool and property. Staff very helpful and store was convenient . Very convenient to airport, restaurants etc. Only con was the Sat night music at adjacent club - extremely loud.

We had a very good stay. The room was excellent and the hotel is situated conveniently for excursions, airport and rent a car. Service was friendly and helpful.

Room very spacious, view and beach amazing. Staff great and personable especially big shout out to the amazing bellman Stevenson he was always there helping. He made us feel special like family he should get a promotion! I would definitely rerurn. So close to airport and walking to amazing restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner!

It was an excellent stay. The rooms and the views are fantastic. The service - especially by Stephenson - was outstanding. There is some unfortunate noise on both sides of the hotel from nearby nightclubs who are playing music so loud you can hear it 1/4 mile away, but that's not Hilton's fault. But heads up if you are sensitive to noise while trying to sleep before midnight or 1am. So why 4 out of 5? 2 reasons - First, the checkout time is 10am, which is crazy early. Most hotels are 11 or noon.... So we requested a "late" [noon] checkout upon arrival. We were told we had to check back on Thursday, the day before our departure. So we did, in the morning. Nobody ever called or texted to let us know "yes" or "no", so I checked back in the afternoon and was told they had used them all up, and we didn't make the cut. So that was frustrating. Second, since we booked through Expedia [to combine with flights for easier tracking of everything] I was told that I couldn't add my Hilton Honors number to get credit for the trip. Even though we still PAID HILTON for the stay....also very frustrating. This could have been a 5 out of 5 for us, but little things make a difference.

Clean hotel - friendly and helpful staff-free parking - many restaurants within walking distance - a very enjoyable experience

This is the best property we have stayed at in Saint Martin. The hotel upgraded us to two bedroom suites which was a really nice surprise since we were traveling with our two daughters. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was stocked. Coffee and tea was provided and when we needed more they were quick to supply us with more. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. The pool was a good size and the beach was beautiful and clean. The beach did notbhave rough waves which allowed for easy swimming for our younger children. The views from our room were spectacular. The hotel is also located among some really great restaurants and there was a little convenience store at the bottom of our hotel that had items we needed throughout our stay. Grocery stores were also close by. We had ab anazing vacation. My family and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Royal Palm Beach Resort is in a prime location. Approximately 20 minutes from the airport. Walkable area to dining options, grocery store, spa, liquor store, pizzaria and bars with live music. All rooms are oceanfront. The 2 BR/2Bath suite accommodate 6-8 people. Full kitchen, dining table, living room with convertible couch, 3 flat screen TVs and outdoor patio. Soon to be a part of the Hilton hotel chain. Calm beach can be very windy, causing sand to fly around. Hotel may want to wet down sand in the morning to prevent "flying sand". Friendly professional staff.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was huge! So clean and comfortable. Nice linens and towels. The property is newly renovated and looks even better in person than in the pictures. The grounds were well kept and the beach was beautiful and clean.The location is perfect. So many restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops all within walking distance. However, it was still a short distance from the airport and other popular areas. The area felt very safe. My only complaint would be that they don’t come in to clean or change linens until the 8th day of your stay. They will give you fresh towels and linens but you have to change them yourself. Nevertheless I’d stay there again. Overall great experience! Oh and the area is pretty lively, there’s a popular bar directly across the street that plays live music every night up until around midnight. We were out most nights and it didn’t bother us but kept us up one night when we needed to go to sleep early to wake up for an excursion.
