Hotel Allegra Lodge

Nice clean hotel close to the airport.

The staff, especially Neil, were excellent. The room was clean. Easy access to train and airport. Definitely will stay and recommend for people visiting Zurich and Switzerland.

Enjoyed staying at the Hotel Allegra Lodge. Was very convenient to the airport and was clean. Staff was helpful and I always appreciate it when hotel staff all speak English. The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby was great! That was a unique plus for me. Downsides were the fact there was no air conditioning, but with the fan they provided, it was okay. Other guests had commented on the noise from the trains nearby, but it never bothered us. The room, while a bit tight for the three of us, wasn’t bad. And the complimentary water was nice - thank you! The other downside was the breakfast. We only received one with our room, so two of us didn’t eat breakfast. At 23 CHF for breakfast, that was pretty pricey and we didn’t want to break the bank at the start of our trip! Proximity to the train station was awesome, but it was still kinda funky to actually get to & from the airport. Even thought we were only a couple kilometers away, you either had to take a taxi or ride the bus.

Stayed in this hotel after our flight got rebooked to the next day, so had to stay closed to airport. Had a restful night, despite missing a night at our destination.

We stayed here the night before an early flight out. It was n8ce because it was so close to the airport. The TV in our first room didnt work, so after 30 minutes of trying to fix it thwy switched us rooms. We had 3 people, so used the pullout in the rooms. Both of them were very uncomfortable and we traded spots throguhtout the night to try and share good sleep. That part sucked.

Location was excellent, with nice common areas to do some work or relax. We managed to keep our luggage at hotel early as we arrived early morning. There is a lounge area with board games and books, kids loved it. Only inconvenience we had was with a gentleman at the front desk when we were leaving. It was mentioned coffee was complementary, I travelled with two teenagers. They took each couple of small croissants from a basket. Gentleman at front desk was furious and in a very rough tone demanded payment of 15 CHF (~17 USD) for the croissants. I paid with no objections but that was very very rude. Other seat were very helpful. Other than that, great hotel

Very close to train station. 29min walking ro airport. Clean, quiet, nice, very good breakfast. Excellent value

It’s a good looking hotel very convenient to the airport! One huge problem- NO AC ! So I wouldn’t recommend in the summer!

Clean and attractive property a 30-second walk from a stop for the bus to the airport (no hotel shuttle). There's no air conditioning, but mitigated somewhat by the fact that room windows open (note, though, that the area can be a little loud). Overall a good choice for convenience to the airport and there are several restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there; so I'm unable to review it. Hotel breakfast is just okay by European hotel beakfast standards (still better than American).

The price/vaue equation for this hotel is very high. It's located one block from the train to the Zurich HB (central train stain) and is about 10 minutes from the airport. Clean, spacious, easy to jump in and out of downtown and very reasonably priced. Comfy beds, decent breakfast. Great choice!
