Upon check-in we asked about parking and were directed with an arm wave to the back. Went to the room and it was very cold. Tried to adjust the heat but the thermostat was not working. Called the desk and said they would send maintenance to fix it. We waited about 15 minutes and decided to leave. When we returned about 2 hours later then thermostat had not been fixed. Was told the only thing they could do was offer a space heater. What!!! The clerk then lied to the company and said I was satisfied with the heater. Not true! I said this is a safety hazard and isn’t there any other options? He said the heater was the best he could do. We stayed 2 nights and the problem was never resolved. Then upon departure another desk attendant asked if we had parked in the back to have our parking stamped. Nope!!! Knew nothing about that option.

The hotel is in a great location, close to lots of pubs and shopping. No parking onsite but you get a discount at a car park that is right behind the hotel. Service in the bar area was a bit slow but staff are very friendly and the food was excellent.

It felt close to what’s happening in the area. Off-site parking at a National Car Park (NCP) at a discounted rate of 12 pounds a night. The staff is not forth coming with information so there is not a dumb question, ask a lot if you don’t know. For the American travel no ice machine or mini fridge. My wife and I found this in most UK hotels and some didn’t have AC.

We always stay at the Clayton when visiting Belfast, but I have to say this trip was disappointing.
Firstly the bar, not only have they hiked the prices up, it was comfortably the most expensive bar we visit all weekend.
Secondly the pool closure… between our booking and our arrival the pool had closed down.. this was not communicated to us and we even arrived at the spa, with our young daughter, to find it all closed up.
Reception staff, we dealt with 2, one was very helpful, the other quite the opposite.
Cleanliness, our room wasn’t cleaned properly on our first night (bathroom bins full on nappies (in sacks) not emptied and breakfast plates left). Room service glasses and plates left in to corridors for half the following day (not great when travelling with a toddler).
All in all, the hotel has gone downhill since our last visit and we’ll most likely stay else where when next in town.

The manager Paul Stafford was excellent and helped us a lot.
Issue is parking
They gave a code to use on checkout of the UCP but couldn’t talk to them so couldn’t apply code so had to pay full price
£35 for 36 hours or so

The room we were given was an accessible room, no problem except the floor in the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. We were only there for one night so didn't bother changing rooms. The bar area reminds me of an airport lounge, not the most inviting of spaces. Limited choice of basic wines behind the bar, no Pinot grigio!

Nice hotel in a good location, close to the airport and right by Nandos/Spoons. I stayed in an executive room, lots of space there. Sauna was ok, could do with an eggtimer in there so you can check how long you've lasted :-). Steam room was out of action which was a shame. Breakfast is decent. Pints in bar are rather prciey, but that's hotels for you. As said, spoons down the road. Would recommend to stay here.

A lovely hotel with lovely and friendly staff. Use of the pool is always nice.
Close proximity to pretty much everything.
The bed wasn't great. But that's just a me thing as I don't like my bed to be too firm. My friend that I travelled with didn't have the same issue with sleeping and comfort.

Lovely hotel close to all central Belfast. Staff are all very helpful. We were able to use the luggage room to store our cases till our evening flight home. Much appreciated!
