We loved this hotel's character! It feels like you step back in time but with modern amenities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. I do agree that there are some updates that would make it better. The parking is a bit difficult. We parked a short distance and it was free. The staff was incredible and kind. There is the best coffee shop just a few minutes walk and many restaurants within 15 minutes walking. Great stay overall!

To begin, our stay there was perfect! It's a beatiful and elegant old world hotel. There's even an incredile stained glass window. Our room was a huge suite with thick deep red drapes, high ceiling, and staircase that led down to our bathroom. It was all so elegant it's hard to describe. Suffice to say we felt like old school royalty. It was magnificent. Our son was in a junior suite that was large, very comfortable, and also beautifully appointed. The staff was the best. Everyone was very helpful, so pleasant, and always avaliable. The hotel is within ready walking distance of several sites and eateries. There is no on site parking but plenty of all day free parking very close by.

The hotel is located near the West End, situated within walking distance of the Botanical Gardens. Parking was available close to the Reception area. Hotel is attractive both fron exterior and interior. Staff was very helpful, including young man who carried our bags up several flights of stairs, (Caution for the elderly: stairs may be challenging). Room was comfortable. Dining services (breakfast for us) were good. Service staff excellent.

Very spacious room, excellent bathroom but room itself needed refurbishment - broken window catch, flaking paint near roof light, rooflight blind has holes in it and doesn't adequately cover the window. There are a lot of stairs and corridors to negotiate if you are in one of the rooms on a top floor away from the bar and restaurant. The breakfast could have been better - cooked to order but not well executed. Location in the West End is excellent but at this price I expected better.

Our room was phenomenal. The staff were so friendly and always willing to help, the food was great and we loved the quiet, neighborhood feel of the location. We will absolutely be back and will recommend to anyone we know traveling to Glasgow.
