We stayed as we had an early flight from Leeds Airport . It was perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay again.

It was fine. Food was bad. For dinner I ordered a Sea Bass dish which came with dollops of gravy. Which for me, sounds and was very strange and it was bland. The ragu pasta was a bowl on inedible mush. We did advise the waitress of this. ‘Cooked’ breakfasts was luke warm. Both days. Avoid. Water pressure in the shower was low making showering take an age. Our bathroom door in our room creaked and was outrageously loud. It woke us up if either was up in the night (we stayed for 2 nights and both had experience of this). The walls / ceilings in the general hotel area aren’t well soundproofed. We could hear people in the room above us quite clearly. I imagine our Bathroom door disturbed them too. The hotel is also near the airport (nothing that could be done about that) but the lack of soundproofing meant planes flying over could be heard quite loudly - Enough to wake you up. You should be aware that this is a Hotel with a Pool / Gym area, rather than a Spa; It is a far cry from that. And the pool ‘spa’ area was filthy. Overall we had a ok time. The surroundings are nice. The staff were polite and friendly. We wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.

Lovely and helpful staff. Beautiful setting, yet near the airport. Nice restaurant for dining. Spa services available though we were not there long enough to avail ourselves of that resource.

We had a double room in the main part of the hotel. Our daughter stayed at the same time and booked at the same time. Our room was very small and in need of an overhaul. It would have been fine overnight but we booked 2 nights so became a little cramped. We had to shuffle between the bed and the radiator panel to access the ensuite and door to the wardrobe. We are quite slim as a couple. In comparison our daughter's room was in the chalets and much roomier and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting is very conveniently situated to travel to Otley, Harrogate and Leeds. Close proximity to the Royalty pub which has fantastic views and a warm welcome. Overall, the accommodation was a little disappointing but the setting and staff were lovely.

Quick stay night before airport the morning after. Location great for that. However, room very basic and although looked clean, was in need of a spruce up and the carpet felt old and grubby. Pillows not very comfortable but mattress decent. The food however was disgusting. I ordered the Glamorgan Wellington and a side of thrice cooked chips plus a side salad of tomatoes (not in the menu but assumed the chef could put tomatoes in a basic vinegar dressing and this was agreed). The Wellington arrived it was very small for nearly £8 annd was greasy. It came with 2 types of pesto. The red pesto was off. I can only describe the taste as what I imagine nail varnish remover would taste like. I was immediately sickened and couldn’t eat anything more. The chips were so fat they were like roast potatoes and as for being thrice cooked they may well have been but it was in cold oil. They were soggy and dripping in grease. The tomato salad consisted of three thin slices of beef tomato in a bit of oil and vinegar that they wanted to charge me £3.50 for the privilege. Needless to say I refused. The Wellington cost was removed from the bill thankfully. My hubby ordered fish and chips and at £18.50 was on the very top end of cost for this type of dish. It had all the same issues. Greasy. Thick unappealing soggy batter. The only good thing about the dining experience was the poor waiter who was so helpful and friendly but clearly very embarrassed to have to serve food like that.

We booked noting location to Bradford airport albeit the taxi was circa £18 each way. Nice concept but in much need of a cash injection and overhaul. We paid extra for an Exec lodge but the carpet was dirty and some wallpaper peeling off plus the bathroom was very small and poor quality. The restaurant, food and range of drinks was ok and the staff were very friendly and worked hard but wouldn't stay again

The only objections i had were smelling of dog in room and on bed clothes so the warmer the room got the stronger the smell and the cabin itself was dated. The steak i had at restaurant was very good. The staff nice to deal with. Lots of parking and very quiet.

I arrived at 4am after a late flight and asked about a late checkout and the night porter said he would leave a note to advise of my late arrival (I’d already messaged the hotel to let them know). Despite this house keeping came into my room at 8am, then at about 9am someone started sawing and hammering in either an adjacent room or on the roof. The bar toilets had a sticky floor and my room was dated, tiny and awkward. There was also dead insects on my bed under my towels. Decent breakfast but if I’d had my car outside I would have slept in it instead of this awful hotel. Never again.

No wi-fi in lodges. Somewhat a fundamental when travelling for work in this day and age.

From images was expecting a posh quiet rural hotel. It definitely isnt posh in fact basic/budget would be a better description. I was travelling with my 8 year old grandson who is very polite and wanted to order a meal for us. We had been told no room service was available and if we wanted to eat it would be at tge bar. The bartender completely ignored my grandson and when he finally did take notice he SHOUTED at him!! This upset my grandson and he didn't want any food. He thanked the man several times afterwards and once again was completely ignored..I am in shock and it has ruined our special trip away to discover the History of York. The room was basic to say the least with shabby outdated furniture. The only saving grace was the bed I could excuse the old fashion shabby decor and put it down to quirky. But staff rudeness is unacceptable
