I really enjoyed our stay; the front desk staff was efficient, attentive, and polite; however, three suggestions that I would make: a) the carpet in our room was dingy and felt dirty. Some updates are needed. b) I found some used tissue behind the curtain, which grossed me out. c) better labeling on the shampoo/conditioner/body wash. While I struggled and eventually figured it out, the friends we traveled with washed their bodies with the shampoo and their hair with the body wash. The breakfast buffet would be a 6/10, but I don’t deduct stars for that. The memorabilia in the hotel is unique and fun to read. The Memorial Park on site is also very patriotic and appreciated.

The hotel is well maintained and clean. Free breakfast buffet had plenty of choices including hot items. We had dinner upon arriving and we were accommodated without a reservation. The food was plentiful and delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. The king size bed and pillows were very comfortable. The most unusual feature among quite a few was the large whirlpool tub in the bedroom. We didn’t use it but found it interesting. Shower had good pressure and always had hot water. The air conditioner was working well. The room was quiet and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Also the location is good for getting around Buffalo. There is ample self parking and there are carts available to move luggage.

Great find for a one night stay during a road trip with friends. It's a bit isolated (presumably because it's close to the airport).

My spouse and I travel to the US once a week the reason we booked this hotel was because there was a Jacuzzi tub. Driving the extra distance and paying for an extra upgrade and then not having hot water was a little disappointing. When I inform the front desk, I was told there was an issue with the boiler, I was asked to speak to management in the morning. When I went down to speak to the manager, he had” just left the building” he left me a voicemail later that day, informing me that he would credit my account $25. This was very disappointing as the upgrade definitely cost me more than $25 and driving the extra distance to not get what I paid for…. Very disappointed.

Great place to stay. Excellent service. Clean and spacious. Not to mention the steak house is a site to behold! We booked in here on a return trip as a stopover during our travels, and we’re pleasantly surprised to learn the legend of the Russell Salvatore.

Near the Buffalo airport and far from the usual chain hotel. Old school, charming and unique. The bar was fun with good drinks and varied live music clips on big TVs. The old school Russels Steakhouse a brat-pack throwback. And 90-year young Russel Salvatore himself greeted us for dinner like he apparently does every night.

We just stopped off for a night on the way home from my kid’s college in another state. Check in and check out was easy, we got an extra hour late checkout (noon), the room was spacious and lovely with comfy beds and nice amenities. The staff were all kind and attentive. The fitness room was adequate, and the breakfast quite good and served from 7-11a which we really appreciated as it was Mother’s Day and I wanted to sleep in a bit! Mr. Salvatore was in the dining room but didn’t bother us; my son had a pleasant interaction with him. That the place is a shrine to Mr. Salvatore and paints him as a philanthropic workaholic narcissist was a charming curiosity. For the price it was quite luxurious. Would definitely stay here again when traveling through the area.

The property was spacious and nicely decorated with comfortable furnishings, as was the room; not at all like a chain motel or hotel. The bed was huge and comfy and the room very spacious and quiet. The bar made fabulous drinks and Salvatore was roaming the bar, restaurant and lobby areas to make sure everything was perfect. He ordered a booth cleared for us so we could be more comfortable in the bar which was greatly appreciated as my husband does not like "perching" on high stools. We unfortunately had to fly out the next day or we would have loved to try the steakhouse restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately too, we had just had a large, late lunch with relatives and couldn't think of eating again. Access to the airport was so easy and took only 6 minutes from the hotel to return a rental car at the airport. I Wish I had found this place sooner as we visit Canada every year and fly thru Buffalo. I will make a point of returning from now on. Oh, also, breakfast buffet was great with both hot and cold choices.
