Baymont by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Overall nice, pleasant stay. Comfortable room, good location. My only complaint is they were resurfacing the parking lot at the time which made parking a little inconvenient.

Clean and quiet with helpful staff overnight prior to early morning flight

We stayed before leaving from the CR airport early. It was very nice and comfortable.

We bookes this hotel to sleep before an early morning flight. There was brown/red smears on our sheets and residue like crumbs (maybe?) as well ( i have a video). When i called the front desk, the employee who answered stated he could "probaby" get me new sheets, but could not get me a new room. Unfortunately it was already 10 pm and given we had to be at the airport in a few hours, so we had no choice but to stay. Would not recommend.

Got there at 1:00 asked if room was available and was rudely told check in is at 3:00 no exceptions. We sat in parking lot from 2-2:45 watching others being checked in, the same women who told us no early check in was checking the other people in early. Saw us and came out to tell us at 2:45 we could check in now. The room had a terrible odor, the deodorizer that they use was VERY strong and with the smell it was just terrible, made you sick to your stomach.

I was very uneasy staying at this property. All the surrounding hotels' parking lots were full but at Baymont there was only one other car besides mine. Maybe only 5 cars total the whole time I was there. Each time i came and went, people were right outside the entrance smoking. Not very welcoming. My room was dingey. If you opened the blackout curtains, you were totally exposed to an ugly view and anyone could look directly in your window; no sheer curtains to let in light while screening the view. Bathroom tile floors looked clean and shiny but felt sticky/gooey, so I wore sox while in there. Then when I went into the carpeted area my sox turned brown from the filth of the carpet. Pretty gross. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful (I told the manager(?) about the floor problems and he said he would look into it), the technology, furniture and breakfast were adequate, and location was convenient to where I needed to be that weekend. Price was ok, but a major renovation is desparately needed, as I won't stay there again until improvements are made.

The property was just an average inn/hotel, probably 3 stars. Very old looking, could use a lot of updating, but served it's purpose of overnight for an early flight near Cedar Rapids Airport.

Convience to airport and church. There were holes in curtains, bathroom drain was plugged, carpet was dirty and tv remote didn't work very well.

Stop looking for a hotel and stay here! One of the best hotels we have stayed at! Friendly front desk staff and the rooms were very nice and clean, so thank you housekeeping! Breakfast was greatand filling. We will definitely be back, when we travel back in June!

I did not like the original staff before 3 and m. The woman at 3 was m was pleasant . Staff before wanted to upcharge me for getting there early at 1pm. And had terrible attitudes two woman. There was one car in the parking lot. Area is shaddy
