SureStay Hotel by Best Western Cedar Rapids

A good option for an overnight stay, but otherwise full of airport stays and local contractors.

The free breakfast had nothing you could eat. Biscuits and gravy had biscuits so old you couldn't stick a fork in them. The gravy had a thick film on it like old paint and the gravy under the film was a different color than top film. It tasted spoiled. I told the staff, and they added more water, stirred it up and put ANOTHER cup of salt in it! They did not have batter for the waffle maker either. Also, a tall thin man kept coming in our room unannounced. He would knock lightly on the door as he walked past it. Once, my travel companion was getting dressed in the bathroom when he came in, then he came back again 2 minutes later with someone else asking if we needed anything! Wow! Steer clear of this place!

The stay was enjoyable and a great trip overall. The front parking lot quickly fills up at night and I had to FIND the next lot between the buildings. The layout of fireplace and TV were a lil awkward lol. Just a few minor tweaks. However, the stay was great for the short time I spent in Cedar Rapids. Thank you for you services!
