La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tucson Airport

We were fine with our room, and the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, we had a companion traveling with us who needed accessible accomodations. The room turned out fine, but the hotel shuttle did not accomodate mobility scooters, which was absolutely necessary for our companion to get to the airport and continue on her trip. This seems to be a large and serious gap in services and accessibility--as an airport hotel, ALL your patrons need to be able to get to the airport or other destinations served by your shuttle. Veterans, elderly, otherly abled, all. I hope this can be addressed in the future. Kudos to the staff for doing their best, they were not responsible for inaccessible shuttle for the mobility impaired guest.

I've stayed here 3 years ago and loved it, so returned for a night while traveling. The hotel room was just as nice this time and is beautifully appointed and was also a great value. 100% happy with the room....but The check-in experience was not so good, though. The clerk was rude and dismissive and gave me keycards that didnt work. This was super annoying since I had to walk a distance to the elevator to get to my room (with 2 dogs tow) and then had to go all the way back to the front to get replacement keycards and she was rude again. One thing the hotel could address is that it's difficult to bring in luggage, etc. through the side entry doors because they don't have sloped curbs. If you use the large hotel cart to bring in things from the car, you cant wheel it in the side doors...you have to go all the way up to the front. The parking lot is sloped for drainage, which meant the cart almost tipped over while I was trying to get to an accessible sidewalk.

Facility is clean, staff are friendly, and the proximity to the airport is a real plus.

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the ability to have an early ride to the airport. I needed to be at the airport earlier than their service started. In the past, it didn't matter what time, there was someone available to provide a lift. I'll probably check out other hotels now.

Property was average. It was great for our stay. Pool area was nice and our room was large. All staff and other guests were very friendly. I was hoping on cook to order breakfast, like other LaQuinta properties. Im not an early morning person and wished breakfast was served until 10 or 10:30. I didn't make it to breakfast by 9 on vacation. Bonus (or msybe not), we saw two coyotes walking through the back parking lot while looking out at the desert from our room window. Pretty cool. But maybe if I'd been in the parking lot, I'd feel differently.

I always stay at La Quinta by the Tucson airport when flying. I love the suites- which are only a little more than a regular rooms and worth the upgrade. It’s so close to the airport you can walk to it. The staff is freindly, the hotel is clean and well maintained.
