Very nice hotel. Close to the airport, clean room and comfortable bed, lots of parking area, friendly staff. The room price is good too. I highly recommend this hotel 👍🙂.

It's one of my favourite places especially close to airport but even if I wasn't flying out it's great to stay when I have the grand children

The resort itself was great. A little too far out of town so I would recommend staying closer to town if you prefer the convenience of walking everywhere otherwise be prepared for multiple Ubers/taxi’s if you did not drive yourself. Our room was neat but the bathroom was covered in mould. Staff were lovely and always helpful. Restaurants on site were good quality.

We enjoyed our stay, though you either eat there or catch a taxi or uber if you wish to go into Cairns. It's very family orientated but if you're there without children as we were, and want to enjoy a swim, you may find the pools occupied by children.
We were advised by a taxi driver and a local, not to walk in the area at night.

No lift , so had to carry my 20kg bag up and down the stairs and at 60 years old was just damn dangerous. Room / doors needed a new coat of paint as it was marked or missing, laminate had come off of the bench//shelf in the bathroom . Kids screaming their heads off til 8;30pm and when you have to catch a 6am flight next day , really irritating. Vending machines not accepting cash and very limited parking on site at the entrance side of the resort.

We really enjoyed our time at the Colonial Club Plenty of space. The property was a little bit out from the main part of town however easy to get around via Uber or taxi.. We would definitely come back to the Colonial club next time though I would upgrade our room to suit our needs better.

Nice cheap place to stay. Three pools, one has swim up bar on weekends (weather permitting). Great for families and couple travelers. Only 10 minutes to cairns city and airport. Book for weekdays if you want to avoid children.
