Mercure Canberra

King sized bed was unfortunately not fit for royalty, very hard and difficult to sleep in. Housekeeping staff were wonderful although I feel like bathrooms don't get cleaned as well as they should (pink mold in grout in shower). In saying that, room was always tidied with fresh towels upon return, and without any issues. All housekeeping staff I encountered in the hallways were very polite. Biggest gripe was that the parking code was changed and I was not notified which was annoying suprise at 11:30pm. Still, very convenient location, parking (with the right code) is plentiful, easy, and secure, and aside from someone's small yappy dog the first night, very quiet.

The hotel was clean, parking was easy and close to the City centre and war memorial.

Amazing customer service. Staff were very nice, they charge for parking but worth the extra $15. Room windows were super dirty but my room didn’t have a view so wasn’t a issue

We thought that the bistro would be of a higher standard. Had to go to the city to eat which meant two taxi fares.

Should not charge $15 a day for parking We are already paying enough for the room and we where patronising the establishment through drinks and dining in restaurant bar area Above is only saying it the way it is The line has to be drawn on on being fair to those who choose to stay there $15 a day ain’t going to make a big difference to the establishment’s profit margins but obviously by my comments and another couple that spent the 3 nights there with us all agreed that it shouldn’t be an extra charge

Great value and still close to the city, free secure parking and generous sized rooms.

The room was really small and they had a huge glass table beside the bed which was way too big for the room. A bit hard to get into bed. Also, something to consider for heritage type accommodation, they did not have a lift where we were and I was in a moon boot. Lesson learnt on my part. Not sure why we had to pay for parking for a spot out the front which the general public could use anyway.

Very good location in a charming building. Lovely garden area and safe and easy parking. Short walk to the main shopping and eating area. Would happily stay here again.

Warm and charming building, although we paid for a room only the add ons like breakfast and parking make you think we could have been offered a deal especially when we checked out i was asked to pay 98 cents because i was under charged when i checked in, very odd experience.
