This property is close to Canberra Train Station (this is where 3-times daily a train goes to Sydney). Other than that there is a bus stop nearby which gets you to CBD - buy you can't buy tickets in the bus or anywhere nearby and credit card does not work either. From the airport you can either have a taxi/uber for about $30 or take public transit via CBD which is about $5 but takes almost one hour. The hotel common areas and restaurant were always empty, even during happy hour you could barely see a handful of people. WiFi is terrible - connection was interrupted frequently and bandwidth is low. Netflix buffered multiple times during each movie and browsing is painful. The room was clean and big enough for a three-night stay, but the main road nearby makes some rooms quite noisy. At the end I liked the proximity to the rail station as I took the train to Sydney (convenient and a good price - 4 hours to Sydney CBD) and I got the room for a good price. Would I come here again? Maybe, if the deal is good.

Location and parking and the room condition

Check in was a little frustrating. The code we were given to access the security parking did not work despite multiple attempts. When we reported this to reception, we were told that the code we’d been given was definitely the correct one and the sensor was most likely malfunctioning. We resorted to parking our car in the outdoor car par. When we reported the issue again to reception the next day, it was discovered we’d been given the incorrect code at check in.

Great parking options. Receptionist was very busy and by themselves during a busy check in period. Would suggest having extra support during key check in hours in the afternoon.

Hotel environment has a good feel. Excellent spacious King room on ground floor. Renovated facilities. No traffic noise from adjacent roundabout. Look for package deal that includes a-la-carte breakfast. Staff were efficient and friendly. Under cover parking is limited but plenty of on site parking. Convenient drive to Kingston and Manuka shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.
