Complexo Eco Cataratas Resort by San Juan

Check in at the front desk and then again, at the separate building we were sent to. 1 and 1/2 hour later we were finally in our room. This after a very long trip… needless wait of our time. Check in process should not take longer the 15 minutes with no wait in line and previous reservation. Midway through our stay we lost power and had to move to a different room. Guess what? Wait in line again so they can transfer us to a different room. Another 1 hour of our vacation we will never get back. With all that said. Workers were nice. The not is nice. The pool is very enjoyable and location was great proximity to the falls and bird park.

The resort was well laid out with all of the facilities you would normally expect (pool, spa, etc.). The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Their ability in English was somewhat limited, but no major problems were encountered. Meals were exceptional with a wide variety of choices. They have an onsite tourist office that made booking transport to/from airport, visits to local attractions (the falls are a must), very easy and efficient. The only downside was the amount of construction taking place just outside the resort area (widening of highway) which was out of their control. Although this slowed down getting in / out of the resort, there was no noise issue once you arrived. Overall, I highly recommend the Eco Cataratas Resort for long / short-term stays.

Likes: Safe and big parking area, the bed was very comfortable. Dislikes: the elevators were small and insufficient for the number of users. The restaurant by the pool was awful, takes too much time and food was terrible

The place was beautiful. Great Infiniti pool. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Very close to the park and thr airport

This hotel is perfect for staying a couple of nights when you go to the falls. Make sure you stay in the new section of the hotel. The older section is very old and tired. A very nice breakfast and a very pleasant staff. The pool is beautiful. The view from the hotel is great and relaxing. You wouldn’t think so because across the street has tourist entertainment no worries we didn’t hear anything. A tip you can urber/taxi to the falls. We purchased tickets on-site. This was during the off season. Super easy. You don’t need to have a special tour to get there.

Perfect 10. One of the best experience of my travel

The hotel was much better than the pictures show. The dinner buffet was excellent value and the breakfast was great. Would stay here if you are planning on visiting the Brazilian side of the Falls or even want to stay close to the airport

The air conditioners in the 'comfort' section of the hotel were so loud that they shook the rooms. Every room has one of those external compressors and the windows were sliding glass wisps that partially closed over metal, ventilated window enclosures. The bathroom light could not be turned off as well. One of the worst hotel stays in the last 25 years of business travel.
