Overview

The Baymont by Wyndham Montreal Airport is a budget-friendly option close to the airport, but guest feedback reveals significant drawbacks. While some appreciate the hotel's relatively updated interior and helpful staff, many negative reviews cite issues like a lack of airport shuttle service (despite being advertised), insufficient and poorly maintained parking, and subpar breakfast. Furthermore, numerous reports describe the hotel's condition as rundown and unclean, including instances of pest infestations. Overall, potential guests should carefully weigh the proximity to the airport against these considerable concerns.

Tv kept losing signal. Phone broken. Toilet paper holde broken and in pieces. Breakfast was terrible. No butter. They charge you for breakfast but you really don’t get what you pay for. Avoid this property if at all possible zero to one star. Often nobody answers the phone. No airport shuttle

The person at the desk was friendly however the “free 24/7 airport shuttle” that was listed on their website no longer exists. There was duct tape holding the closet door together. The bedside lamp was broken and its shade stained. The shower was gross.

Roaches! Roaches! Roaches!!! I read all the negative reviews of this place, so I should have known better than to book, but I needed something close to the airport due to a very early flight out. Well, let me just say that every negative thing you've read is true! THIS PLACE IS A DUMP! One reviewer complained about a toilet seat not fitting the bowl...I thought, "no, how could this be?" Well guess what folks...I got the room with the toilet seat that doesn't fit! The seat is about an inch short of reaching the rim of the toilet and it shifts around. The owner just DGAF! Roaches. I had hoped this problem was taken care of after other guests had reported them. No. The critters still inhabit the room. We killed one that had climbed on the desk. That was only the beginning of a night spent on roach watch! 3 more appeared, of which we killed two. Whomever has the misfortune of getting room #228 - BEWARE!!! There is one roach (let's be real, probably 100 more) roaming around! I strongly caution anyone who dares to book here. The owner is taking advantage of the fact that the place is close to the airport. If you don't mind a run down, over priced, roach infested, dirty "hotel" then go for it. Otherwise, do yourself a huge favor and stay somewhere or else, sleep in your rental car or on a bench at the airport! Anywhere else would be an upgrade!

Advertised on Expedia as having a restaurant, not so and nowhere within walking distance. Expedia and hotel websites both say free airport shuttle - not so. Asked the dopey receptionist to book me an airport taxi for the following morning, he wrote the time down wrong twice, fortunately I checked tò confirm. He was unable to tell me approximate travel time to the airport. Place is scruffy and poory maintained.

Nice architecture and furnishings, but it the area around it looks like a bombed out war zone. No convenience stores, bad place to be stuck without a car. If you're traveling by car, it's probably fine. Or the Radisson a ten-minute walk away has a restaurant.

There was NO SHUTTLE WHICH COST ME MORE MONEY. It was advertised that it had a shuttle. Would never have booked it.

The parking lot was overly crammed even though it was a huge. This remained the case throughout our two-day stay. It is used as overflow parking for the nearby airport. We spent many minutes and needed staff assistance to find a spot close to the entry for wheelchair parking while buses unloaded people behind us in the narrow single lane access. The buses had to back out to leave. Other drivers were trapped in the parking lot as we tried to find a spot. The solution? We were told to park in the fire and ambulance access spots: these emergency locations were regularly used during our two-day stay as there are few or no options to park in the lot, unless you hike to the hotel from a distance with your bags. We watched as one poor family had to lug their stuff down a dangerous snowy embankment from the neighboring parking lot. Someone parked in the only accessibility spot and didn't have a parking pass. The staff had no idea whether the person was in the hotel or on a flight to somewhere else in the world. Terrible organization. In our room, we discovered tape covering our ceiling's fire extinguisher sprayer. We can only imagine how a fire tragedy in this fairly large hotel could easily become international news. The lack of access for emergency vehicles and the lack of room safety are why WE GIVE THIS HOTEL A HUGE FAIL! Otherwise, it was clean, had comfortable bed and okay coffee, if that's what's important.

The hotel is a budget friendly choice close to the airport, not the prettiest on the outside but surprisingly nice on the inside. Interior, rooms were clean and décor appeared updated and friendly. Staff were helpful, accommodated parking needs and offered to arrange transportation. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but met immediate needs.
