Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa Airport, ON, CN

Rooms clean, breakfast very good , staff friendly, parking convenient and free. Only comment is that on checkout they could not provide a printed receipt as “a staff person” was not there. They would email it to us. So we don’t know the exact charge other than the verbal on booking

hotel is close to airport and has an airport shuttle. lots of resturants in the area, close to airport.

When I arrived at YOW, I was picked up by a very friendly shuttle driver and delivered to the hotel. A lovely desk attendant checked me in and gave me a key to my room. I go up to the room and there is someone else already staying there - shoes on the floor, luggage on the bench! I immediately go back down and let them know but they assure me that no one is supposed to be in the room...hmm. They move me to another room on a different floor. I turn the TV on and there is a circular 'burn' mark on the screen. I go back down to report the TV issue and they ask if I want a new room. Nope - only staying the night and I've already had two rooms in 30 minutes! I go to have a shower and can't reach the showerhead. I'm not tall, but come on! Can't reach it so I can't adjust the flow. The water pressure was quite weak when it reached me, so I didn't feel that clean. The final issue is that the toilet paper roll is on the left side wall behind the toilet. How are you supposed to reach that? Not cool. Mounting it on the vanity would solve the problem. The people were lovely, but the room(s) were not good. (I have pictures, but the site will not let me upload them.)

Decent breakfast, important if you have a flight to catch.

Usually stay here prior flying home-Fredericton NB. Property could use a little tlc.
