The accommodation was clean, the beds were comfortable and the University is central to all of St John's. The staff were great and parking is easy and close to the residence.

The residence hotel is chiefly for visiting academics, though I saw quite a few elderly visitors or others. The upside is that it's convenient, being on campus, the staff is friendly, the WiFi is good, and there is breakfast with some packages. The downside is that the rooms are pretty spartan; it's an upgraded dorm room. This is decent accommodation, but it could be better value.

First time using uni-accommodations and had the unique perspective of staying at Corner Brook's Grenfell campus [$42/night] and at St John's McPherson College [$109/night]. Found the value at McPherson [when compared to a local "Hotel 6"] not at all compelling for repeat business. Even tho' the accommodations were private [not shared shower/toilet], the keycard access had me worried that I might end up locked out of my bedroom after a midnight pee - would have to pad down 3 flights to the front desk in my skivvies! Loved the monastic feel -- very quiet, respectful neighbours.

Good walkable distance to downtown (taxi'd the way home for only $11 after getting screeched in.) very friendly staff, nice washrooms and showers. Overnight parking was only $4 and right beside the residence. Breakfast was included, however we opted for sunrise at cape spear (so I can't speak to that.) overall would suggest it for anyone looking for an affordable stay in st.john's!

a great place to stay while in St. John's; reasonable rates, friendly staff and it includes a very tasty breakfast; the location is close to both downtown and the airport; the campus provides an interesting place to go for evening walks along with a municipal park , 'Pippy Park' close by; there are a few services like a restaurant, a bank, a pharmacy, a service station and a convenience store within easy walking distance as well; our stay was quiet and allowed us to meet people travelling from many places
