Hotel Garant & Suites

This was my first trip to the DR and I must say my expectations were well to the low side based on what I had read online. I need not have worried though. The staff of the Garant exceeded my expectations at every turn. A couple emails to management prior to flying out and they arranged to have a private driver pick me up at the airport for less than I would have paid for a taxi or Uber. Room was clean with cold AC and large ceiling fans. Plenty of hot water at any time of the day or night. The entire property is gated and you have a safe in the room large enough for a full sized laptop (15.6 inch Thinkpad). You get a cooked to order breakfast daily included in the cost of the room by a lovely lady named Alicia. The entire front office staff was superb with Joel and Heriberto always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. The walk to Duarte, Boca Chica Beach and some of the best Italian food I have ever had is literally only about 5 minutes. 5 Stars all the way!
