Hotel Zapata

Good location to get to airport for early departure. Some sketchy activity in surrounding area, beach with lots of local vendors, not relaxing. Room clean, bed comfortable, local feel to the place.

Great location on the beach. Good breakfast. Service clueless- it looked like nobody new what’s going on, hardly spoke any English or Spanish. Also super unfriendly. This was a pretty unpleasant experience. Upon arrival I felt like they were upset I actually arrived, and upon leaving one of the guys working there was literally trying to push me out of the door (it was late at night and I wanted to make sure the taxi that was waiting for me was actually the one I called, but the guy was rushing me out and trying to close the door, btw the taxi wasn’t the one I called, so I felt unsafe). This is a super weird place run by weird crowd. If you book the cheapest room it might be worth it, but I wouldn’t recommend paying for anything above that- my mistake.
