Hotel Villa K - Basel Airport

Wonderful hotel close to Basel airport with shuttle included, which suited us very well. It's also located just a short bus ride or a walk to the old town and Rhin river. The rooms were very clean and cosy with a warm and welcoming design. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, the homemade yogurt, the fruits and the madeleines were delicious.

This hotel is not a typical airport hotel it is much much better

A warm welcome from a very efficient receptionist who then showed us to our room. Room was spacious but only had one hard chair for the two of us! A quirk peculiar to so many hotels. Very clean. We dined in their restaurant - again very friendly staff. Food was OK but not as good as they thought it was but I think French cuisine has lost its way. Breakfast excellent. Free shuttle to the airport picked us up on time.

We loved Hotel Villa-K the minute we saw it and what surrounds it. It's like being submerged in what France was like a long time ago, quite romantic. However, there are great amenities both at the hotel and in the area. (There's a Chinese/French Buffet that is amazing two blocks away.) They provided a shuttle service from the airport, which saved us quite a bit of money. Our receptionist was such a friendly young woman, and was very thorough in explaining how the ac/heat worked for the room and answered all our questions. It was a very clean facility and the breakfast options offered the following morning far exceeded our expectations. French baked items, both breads and pastries were offered in many forms. There were hard boiled eggs with special cups from which to eat the soft-boiled eggs. The quality of their food was out of this world. The young male receptionist we met upon checkout was cheerful and personable. He even hired us a cab to get to where the ship for our cruise was docked. Our only complaint was that the beds were much less soft than Americans are used to sleeping in, but I can understand that it's "more healthful" than soft beds for us. That's what the young man told us. We loved staying there.

Beautiful updated very modern room in an old building. Transportation to the airport was on-time and easily arranged. The breakfast buffet was beautiful and one of the best I've had!

Good location, very near to the Basel airport. The hotel is an old beautiful house converted to a hotel, giving a beautiful and old appearance. However we were disappointed with the food in the restaurant which was very expensive and not great taste so would recommend to avoid.

There is not one bad thing that I could say about Hotel Villa K. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the bathroom was really spacious and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Booking In and Out were both very easy. If I ever am at the airport again I will definitely be staying there again. Everything was so easy and professional and i really enjoyed being there.

The room is large and nicely appointed. We were escorted to our room and had everything explained. We had an early departure and were allowed to have breakfast a little early. The airport shuttle was actually early, so no waiting. The attached restaurant is exceptional, with different dishes than we're used to. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This room was lovely—more like an apartment than a room. It was clean and comfortable and very convenient to the airport. Loved it!

Very nice boutique hotel, good location and easy to reach from both the Airport and Basel Central Station. Nice inhouse café where the breakfast also were served. We used the free airport shuttle provided by the hotel. Nice, spacious and clean room with all facilities needed.
